Wonderful experience with Angloville. Beautiful location and hotel and a chance to spend time with intelligent interesting people from other countries. It is tiring but well worth doing. Great food and swam every morning.

My Time at Angloville
August 07, 2025by: Andrew Areghan - CanadaProgram: Explore Poland & Teach English as a Language Mentor
I had no expectations when I decided to do this program but I enjoyed my time at the program. The kids were easy to work with, the program itself was interesting and immensely rewarding. I learned a lot of different games and different ways to interact with people and made a lot of lifelong friends as a result of this program. It is something I would love to do again if I get the opportunity.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted to hear that you found the programme rewarding, enjoyed working with the kids, and built lasting friendships. We’d be very happy to welcome you again in the future. The AngloTEAM

An Unforgettable Experience!

A very lovely way to spend my summer holiday. I had a great experience at Angloville. The administration process was good as well as my travel experience to and fro. I stayed for three weeks at different locations in Krakow (magazinik zakatek, Willa tatry & Grand limba). They all had beautiful atmospheric condition and scenery. The accommodation was superb and security was really good. The people I met were amazing. The staffs, international participants and Teenagers. I had great conversation sessions with the teenagers as well as fun packed activities such as archery, hiking, indoor games, Olympics, scavenge hunting e.t.c. The food service was great as well. It was really nice learning from the polish locals as well as helping in improving their English speaking skill. Overall, it was a great Language immersion Program and I totally recommend. I look forward to participating at Angloville again! Thank you. ?

The best part of my trips to Europe!
December 29, 2019by: Sayeed Khan - United StatesThe Angloville experience is excellent and uniquely designed. For one week, you get to meet people from around the world and develop long lasting friendships. As a mentor, your schedule is busy, but it feels more like fun than work. It’s mostly one hour conversational sessions, which might take place during a walk or while sitting by the lake. Perhaps the best part is the sense of camaraderie that develops between the entire group during the week along with social activities at night. I highly recommend Angloville to anyone who enjoys working with people, being part of an interesting cultural exchange, or simply making new friends from across the globe
Fun volunteer experience
December 12, 2019by: Edward Tweedy - United StatesWhat an opportunity to meet and work with 10-15 smart and interesting Polish people and 10-15 smart and interesting native English speakers while helping the Polish improve their English. Venues were interesting and it was great to get free lodging and food while participating in an interesting and rewarding service project.
Really good experience
December 12, 2019by: Romina Reginato - ChileIt was a really good experience to interact with Polish teenagers and help them practice their English, the activities were well planned in general and I could also meet many volunteers from around the World!
A fantastic experience in Poland with Angloville
November 30, 2019by: Imran Mahmood - United KingdomI volunteered as a TEFL Teacher through the Angloville volunteer to teach English to students. The opportunity was amazing and built my confidence to teach different students together with seeing the signs and sounds of Gdansk and Wroclaw aswell. There was plenty to do and found that the locals are very eager to learn the different methods of learning that would help them in becoming fluent in speaking English. We where given an orientation tour of both cities at the beginning of start of the week interaction of teaching English. Most importantly both cities are historical and open to foreign nationals. Angloville was the greatest experience ever, a chance to use my teaching skills in helping the adult students and making new friends, having parties. Most important of all building a rapport with other volunteer teachers from around the world. The team leaders where brilliant in both cities. I got the chance to venture into the countryside and stay at the hotel in Gdansk and Wroclaw was superb. We played group games together. Also helped the students do a fantastic presentation on any topics that they would like to choose from, this gave them encouragement to speak out and gives them confidence is speaking to everyone in front of the group. I had a brilliant time visiting historic sites and sounds of Wroclaw. You get to also go boating and enjoy the local cuisine. There is always a festival going on in Gdansk and Wroclaw which is truly amazing. I will never forget my time in Poland and would recommend anyone who is thinking of going on the Volunteer Angloville Programme as a teacher, to go ahead and do it. It was a fun and interesting trip, I am very grateful to Angloville for giving me this chance, also to Premier TEFL for giving the knowledge to complete my 120 hours Tefl course. Overall a very brilliant experience, thank you.
Three weeks well worth the time and energy spent
April 01, 2019by: Deborah Gatiss - United StatesAngloville is everything it claims to be and more! I completed the full 3 weeks initially offered to me, and through it was able to earn my TEFL certificate (the experience was coupled with an online course I took) AND learn about Polish culture, history, and society while doing it. It was hard work and great fun all in one. While transitioning between programs in Wroclaw, Warsaw and Gdansk, I had time to explore the cities from which our departures and arrivals took place. I was able to see the countryside as well, while traveling to and from the hotel locations, which was an interesting piece that otherwise might not have been part of my travel. We ate a variety of local cuisine, and had a chance to meet and talk with every participant of the programs. It was highly rewarding to meet other native speakers as well as the Polish participants, and through the experience I learned more than I could have imagined. Definitely will recommend this place!
I was the most exited time in my life
February 27, 2019by: Yana Khokhla - UkraineI have a lot of to say about my life and experience, but the most powerful was - EDISON, Aiesec. I was in Czech Republic this winter. I taught English with children in different schools. It was unbelievable 6 weeks in my life. I really in love with Czech Republic and people there. I'd like to be volunteer one more time and I enjoying your culture.
Best decision I could have made to kick start my gap year!
December 10, 2018by: Valerie Masete - South AfricaChoosing to do the Angloville TEFL training and volunteering programs was the best decision I could have made to kick start my gap year! Firstly, the online TEFL training was pretty straight forward. All the materials needed to pass the course were provided and the site was user friendly. They give you three months to complete the course, but I was able to complete it within a month, working on it full time, before I started volunteering. While the online TEFL course is not necessary for the volunteering programs, I gained invaluable insight that came in very handy during my three weeks of volunteering. The hands-on experience was surprisingly very positive for me. I say surprisingly because I have always been an introvert, and here I was in a position where I had to talk to people I don’t know for the whole day. I have grown so much as a result of the Angloville programs. This experience allowed me to travel around Europe, meeting local people who taught me about their countries and their cultures. It also allowed me to form connections with English native speakers around the world! I did two adult programs and one junior program and I had fun doing all of them! All in all, I can now say that Angloville has made me a more confident person and equipped me with skills that will allow me to thrive as a teacher of English as a second language. This was definitely an experience worth having and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it.
Quite a whirlwind! (In a good way, though)
August 21, 2018by: Brandy P - United StatesThis program is amazing! I would recommend it to anyone. I benefited from it professionally, academically, and personally. I learned a lot, saw a lot, did a lot, and met a lot of new people. I'll remember my coworkers and students forever. A big shout out to the Angloville Coordinators, the ones I met in person and virtually through email. I couldn't have done it without them! If I had to suggest anything, sign up for one week. If you didn't like it, you could go home. If you did like it, you could easily sign up for another Angloville program. It's also worth it, professional development-wise. I'm a graduate student getting my Master's in Teaching. When I interviewed for my Student Teaching position, the interviewers were very impressed with my completion of the Angloville program. I completed two weeks of Angloville Kids volunteering in July 2018. The first week I stayed in a hotel in Hungary. It was in a very nice forested area, away from any big cities. But, the rooms were a bit dirty. I would suggest bringing a sheet of your own to lay over the hotel's sheets. Getting to know my coworkers and students really helped me forget about the living situations. Temporarily, lol. At the hotel in Poland, I had to share a room with two other girls. So three people in the room total. And I had to sleep on a makeshift couch-bed. Also the students stayed in rooms in the same hall as us. So we could hear them running through the hallways, screaming, and knocking on our door then running away. SIDE NOTE: If you don't already know, hotels in Hungary and Poland are a bit different than in the US. They don't have air conditioning, reliable WiFi, or screened in windows. Oh! And Angloville programs are completely dry, so no drinking alcohol. But really, a positively life-changing experience. Do it!
Amazing opportunity to meet amazing people!
August 01, 2018by: Saul Rigg - United KingdomI have just completed three weeks of Angloville programmes and have met some incredible people along the way. I managed to take part in two junior and one adult programme over the three weeks, both of which provided varied experiences as a native speaker. In the junior programmes, I was a little disappointed with the standard of the accommodation and facilities available, as well as the food. There was quite a difference between the size of bedrooms and washroom facilities, and the games facilities left a lot to be desired. Having said this, I had a very positive experience with my course coordinators (the best were on my second and third weeks). Many of the Hungarian/Polish participants were great to work with and interested in finding out about the native speakers. On the adult course I was able to meet a variety of interesting people from different countries and backgrounds who made the experience unforgettable. The venue was wonderful and we have ample time to relax and do our own thing! I recommend this programme especially to anyone considering taking part in Angloville next year.
Rewarding and worthwhile
May 07, 2018by: Jeanie Rowand - ScotlandBran, Transylvannia 22-27 April 2018 In the warm, sunny and lovely countryside of Romania I was able to share six memorable days with an interesting and fun group of diverse personalities with extraordinary life stories. Although the programme was intense the time just flew by in 5* surroundings, with exceptional coordinators and the never ending good humour of the group. I marvelled at the commitment of everyone and the satisfaction of language goal achievement. I would like to thank everyone for a very rewarding, worthwhile and memorable six days.
Angloville in Poland
August 26, 2017by: Joe Tekeng - United StatesIt was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It was an amazing experience being able to stay in nice hotels for free while being fed Polish meals three times a day. The venues are great, the staff is kind, outgoing, respectful, hard working, and also caring. The Polish participants you teach are amazingly talented, most are friendly, and outgoing. You will notice that the participants want to be there and they love the speaking sessions. The week is well organized and is filled with many speaking sessions, group activities, and games; but there is free time to rest as well. I did three programs in Poland and they were all amazing and each were different from the types of people and venues but equally spectacular. I highly suggest doing an Angloville program, it will be one of the best experiences of your life.
Angloville and Premier TEFL perfect matchmakers for teaching, volunteering, exploring Europe
August 01, 2017by: Porter Huddleston - HungaryAngloville and Premier TEFL are hitting home runs in Europe. They are the platinum experience for volunteering as an English teacher/conversationalist in beautiful locations across the continent. And their fully blended program is the best way to earn internationally recognized accreditation as a TEFL-certified native English teacher. Vetting potential teaching English abroad programs is a tall task. There are many to choose from. But how do you know which one will give you the best experience for the time, money, energy and emotions you pour into planning for a trip overseas? I reviewed most, if not all, of them before my wife and I decided on a program. Angloville stands out heads and shoulders above them all. And now that we have completed our program, we each have four weeks’ experience teaching in Europe, 120 hours apiece of online TEFL training, and a combined 560 hours of first-hand, in-person teaching to back up our very strong recommendation of Angloville and Premier TEFL. These organizations are buttoned up, professional, and easy to work with. My wife and I are from south Florida and wanted to leave our jobs as advertising execs to do something that mattered. We wanted to make connections across cultures, travel around Europe, and most importantly, help others in other parts of the world. We decided to volunteer overseas in Central Europe and were impressed with what Angloville offered those interested in being English teachers/conversationalists. Free accommodations at resorts in Poland, Hungary, Czech, and other locations. Meals provided at no charge for the length of your program. Free transport from the host city to the program venue. A free tour of the host city prior to the start of the program. A comfortable and relaxed setting for your time engaging with people from other cultures. A selection of programs to choose from, including weekend programs, week-long programs and extended programs (10 days). Plus, you can choose whether you want to volunteer with youth, juniors or adults/business professionals. We chose to begin our international adventure by working closely with Premier TEFL to complete 120 hours of in-depth, online training to teach English as a foreign language. I have a BA degree in English and Journalism, and my wife has a BA in Communications. We were both very impressed with the additional education provided by Premier TEFL. Excellent and fascinating training! They gave us ample time to complete the courses and modules prior to departing for Europe. Having completed our online training, we volunteered for four weeks in a row with Angloville at various settings across Poland and Hungary. We had a first-class experience. From the application process and pre-trip communications to the helpful guidelines and clear itinerary they provide, my wife and I knew we had selected the right program before we even boarded our plane for Poland. Angloville simply has a top-notch staff. I am not sure who is responsible for their recruiting/staffing efforts -- Marlena and Anna, possibly -- but they should be recognized. Once we arrived in Europe, our program coordinators Ryan Gentle and Magda Janowska were buttoned up. Very professional and forthright about the program’s goals for our Polish participants, while being funny and easy-going at the same time. That's a tough balancing act, and they pulled it off beautifully. Ryan and Magda provided excellent communication about how each day and the week as a whole would play out, so we were never left wondering what to do or what would happen next. They provided clear timelines, were always friendly, laughed easily, led by example, attended to the individual professional needs and skill levels of our Polish friends, made mid-week corrections where necessary, coordinated well with the hotel staff, requested and provided feedback on all things related to the week’s efforts, and made time to socialize with the group as a whole. Ryan even got up early to run mountains (up the ski slope) with me and my wife. That’s dedication! We felt like we had more than co-workers and students throughout the week. We had friends. Ryan and Magda’s laid back demeanor put everyone at ease and helped create a comfortable atmosphere where our Polish students were free to make mistakes, while making great strides in their English. After our time with Ryan and Magda and the group at Hotel Chojnik in Poland, we moved on to join additional Angloville teams in Hungary and Poland led by Fernando Betancourt, Ildiko Simon, John McGrath and Agnieszka Borek. One of the strongest indications of a well-run organization is that our initial positive experience with Ryan and Magda was reflected again and again at other venues with other program coordinators. Angloville has achieved excellent brand consistency, which is a lofty goal pursued by Fortune 500 companies and the world’s top brands. The Angloville experience is good everywhere and with every team. Though our Angloville programs are over for the time being, my wife and I maintain close contact with our new Polish and Hungarian friends. We use a number of different apps to stay in touch, to grow our friendships, and to keep providing English support to them. After our amazing experience with Angloville and Premier TEFL, we are looking to live full-time in the Hungary/Poland/Austria region of Europe. We want to work either as English teachers, American football, soccer or softball coaches, or a combination of these. We fell in love with Europe and Europeans. And Angloville and Premier TEFL were our matchmakers.
Great adventurous experience!
July 13, 2017by: WillAngloville found me through the Couchsurfing app, and asked me if I wanted to volunteer as a "teacher" for their Polish program. I didn't know anything about Angloville, so I was a little skeptical about the idea of riding out to a secluded resort to tutor English and having the room and all meals paid for. I did my research and jumped on board, especially since I was already in Poland at the time. I had an amazing experience! The Polish speakers were just as nervous as me at the start, but as the program went on we were sharing stories, having laughs, and exchanging big hugs as we parted ways. Let me warn you- YOU WILL WORK! You may spend up to 10 hours speaking, learning, and translating, but the topics of conversation are pretty much up to you and your mentee. You also get plenty of breaks throughout the day if you just want to run to your room and escape conversation for a bit. (I bonded well with many of the Polish and English-speaking participants, so I spent several breaks pairing up with someone and walking the beautiful countryside snapping plenty of photos) The room was nice, and the food was great (local cuisine!). Also if you choose to become TEFL-certified, Angloville can help you. I'd be happy to do another Angloville program when I return to Europe! :)
Talk+ listen & teach+learn & experience
June 22, 2017by: Anonymous - RomaniaThe Anglo-TEFL Scholarship is a perfect mix of theoretical basic knowledge and the experience abroad in one country or several: Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic The online course is easy to follow while the Angloville Programs are fun and challenging. Once you entered the Angloville Programs world you can: - talk a lot in English, but you need to stay still and listen from time to time; - teach the local participants but at the same time learn from them about the local culture, learn from your colleagues about their experiences and from the coordinators how to manage a larger group o f students; - experience local culture, food, fun ... Don't waste any more time, JUST GO FOR IT!

The highlight of my 9 month trip around Europe
February 27, 2017by: Stephen - United StatesCan't really put into words how awesome this experience was. Basically, in my 9 months of traveling, I will look at the two weeks I spent interacting with the Polish students as the absolute highlight of my trip. This is such a unique, singular experience. I did two camps in a row - but other volunteers were on their 5th or even 10th Angloville program. And it's easy to understand why: this is a "feel good" experience. You're working with AMAZING, intelligent juniors, and equally awesome staff and fellow volunteers. I'm grateful for the opportunity, and I look forward to figuring out how to fit in another camp before I head back to the states.
Everyone should do it at least once!
January 26, 2017by: Tam - United KingdomI have done 4 volunteering programmes in Hungary and POland with Angloville and completed the premier TEFL online course as part of the scholarship. THe programmes are fantastic fun, each one has had a very different vibe with different groups each having a unique dynamic but all have been great and now I have a TEFL certificate to show for it all. A great way of travelling solo as you have a ready made group of friends ready to meet you at the venue.

The reason I chose an international program was part of a broader travel plan that I conceived a few months earlier when I set off. I started my journey from the UK in August, travelling through France, onwards to Greece, the Balkans, and finally Poland.
