Orphanages and children’s homes across Tanzania vary greatly in their living conditions and available resources.Due to financial constraints, not all children are able to attend school, as funds are often lacking for essential items such as school uniforms, books, stationery, and examination fees.

Volunteers play a vital role in daily life at orphanages. They assist with teaching, childcare, administration, and general support, while also offering emotional encouragement and positive role models for the children. Their presence helps ease the burden on local staff and contributes to the overall well-being and development of the children.
