AHAH provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief. For nearly 20 years, we have mobilized 66,000 volunteers across 179 programs, impacting 1.4 million lives worldwide.

Our newest program in Nepal begins in December 2024, where we’ll rebuild a school in the Makwanpur District that has faced unsafe learning conditions since the 2015 earthquakes. Over four months, we’ll construct a disaster-resilient school with three classrooms using state-of-the-art, sustainable building practices. 

Volunteer roles will vary throughout the program, from assisting with construction to participating in community training sessions. Volunteers will receive free accommodation and three meals on working days.
