Yes, international internships can significantly strengthen your resume by providing practical work experience, professional networking opportunities, intercultural communication skills, and exposure to global workplace environments—all of which are increasingly valued by employers.

The vast majority of AIFS Abroad internships are unpaid, which is consistent with international labor laws and norms in many countries. The value of the experience—professional development, global exposure, networking, and resume-building—is significant even without financial compensation. However, if an employer offers you a stipend or other form of compensation, you are welcome to accept it.
