Study abroad in Milan, Italy with AIFS Abroad and earn college credit in one of Europe’s leading centers for fashion, design and business. With semester, summer, January Term and academic year options at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, you can choose from a wide range of courses while experiencing life in Italy’s second-largest city.
Milan has plenty to explore beyond its famous fashion scene. See the Duomo, visit Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, catch a soccer match at San Siro, spend an evening at La Scala or experience the Italian tradition of aperitivo. The city is also well connected by train, making it easy to explore more of Italy and Europe.
Academic options vary by program and include business, fashion and fashion design, marketing, finance, communications, international relations, art history, film, Italian language, psychology, sustainability and more. Semester students can earn up to 15 credits, while summer programs offer flexible sessions in business, liberal arts and Italian culture. January Term students can focus on business, management and sustainability.

Do I need a passport and visa?
Yes. We encourage you to apply for your passport immediately. Students must apply for a visa with the Italian Consulate. Upon acceptance, AIFS will provide instructions and the necessary official documents required to obtain a student visa; however, students must contact the Italian Consulate directly for the appropriate visa forms. For information visit the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Are flights included in the program?
Students can select an optional transportation package for all AIFS Abroad programs. Those who choose to book their flights should meet up with the group at the program location and need to arrange their own ground transportation.
