We place individuals in programs based on their skills and interests. To help us do so, participants complete a Skills and Interests Survey. This creates a Volunteer Profile that our staff uses to match them with partner projects.

Our placements are designed in partnership with sustainable community initiatives, and the work of volunteers directly supports goals. When we meet with our Partner Programs, we carefully consider individual skills and interests, as well as preferred start date and length of stay—typically lasting from 2 weeks to 1 year.

We take pride in our flexibility and ability to customize programs based on each volunteer’s needs or preferences. Our first volunteers arrived in February 2009 and, since then, we have seen a steady increase in international participants. We can accommodate up to 16 people in our housing facilities. With special arrangements, we can host up to 20 people if necessary.
