Interested in learning astronomy? Travel to Chile—known as the “world’s capital of astronomy”—for this unique study and astronomy internship program.
The Astronomy Observation and Research Program features world-renowned universities and access to some of the most advanced observatories in the world. Chile’s exceptionally dry climate and clear night skies provide ideal conditions for observing the solar system and deep space, enhancing the educational experience.
This four-week astronomy program combines astrophysics studies with Spanish language immersion at one of Chile’s most prestigious universities. Participants complete 30 hours of Spanish classes alongside an Observation and Research astronomy assignment covering key concepts of the universe, observation techniques, and the use of astronomy software and tools.
To complete the experience, participants visit a professional observatory, gaining firsthand insight into modern astronomical research.
