What inspired you to go abroad?
I was inspired to go abroad by my passion for discovering new cultures, meeting people from around the world, and experiencing places beyond my everyday surroundings. My adventure in Morocco with Morocco Global Adventures showed me how travel can create meaningful connections and unforgettable memories.
Exploring the vibrant streets of Marrakech, discovering traditional Moroccan culture, and experiencing the beauty of the Sahara Desert gave me a deeper appreciation for adventure, diversity, and cultural exchange.

Why did you choose Morocco Global Adventures?
I chose Morocco Global Adventures because I wanted to experience Morocco through a local organization that truly understands the country, its culture, and its people. The program offered a great combination of adventure, cultural discovery, and authentic experiences.
From exploring Marrakech and traditional villages to traveling through the Atlas Mountains and experiencing the Sahara Desert, every part of the journey was well organized and memorable. What was your favorite part about your host country/city?
My favorite part about Morocco was the incredible combination of culture, nature, and adventure. I especially loved exploring Marrakech, with its colorful souks, historic medina, traditional food, and lively atmosphere.
However, the highlight of my trip was traveling with Morocco Global Adventures to the Sahara Desert. Riding camels through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, watching the sunset, and spending the night under the stars was an unforgettable experience.
I also enjoyed meeting local people and discovering the warm Moroccan hospitality throughout the journey.

What made my experience abroad extraordinary was the way Morocco combined adventure, culture, and genuine human connection. Traveling with Morocco Global Adventures allowed me to experience the country beyond the usual tourist attractions. From the colorful streets of Marrakech and the breathtaking Atlas Mountains to the peaceful landscapes of the Sahara Desert, every day brought something new.

What's one thing you wish you would have done differently during your time abroad?
One thing I wish I had done differently was spend more time exploring and connecting with local communities. The experience with Morocco Global Adventures was so enjoyable that I realized how much more there was to discover beyond the planned itinerary.
I would have loved to spend a few extra days experiencing more local traditions, trying different Moroccan dishes, and exploring additional destinations. If I had the opportunity to do the trip again, I would definitely allow myself more time to slow down, meet more local people, and fully enjoy every moment of the adventure.
Describe what a typical day in your life abroad looked like.
A typical day during my adventure in Morocco was filled with discovery, new experiences, and beautiful scenery. I would start the morning with a traditional Moroccan breakfast before meeting the local team from Morocco Global Adventures and beginning the day's journey.
Depending on the itinerary, we would explore historic medinas, visit traditional villages, travel through the Atlas Mountains, or stop at local cultural sites. Along the way, I enjoyed Moroccan cuisine, learned about local traditions, and had the chance to interact with local people.
One of the most memorable days was in the Sahara Desert, where I explored the desert landscapes, rode a camel across the golden dunes, watched the sunset, and spent the evening enjoying traditional music and a peaceful night under the stars. Every day was different, which made the experience exciting and unforgettable.
What did you enjoy doing during your free time abroad?
During my free time in Morocco, I enjoyed exploring the local areas at my own pace and discovering the everyday life and culture of the country. I loved walking through the colorful souks and medinas, trying traditional Moroccan food, taking photos, and visiting local cafés. I also enjoyed talking with local people and learning more about Moroccan traditions and way of life.
When traveling with Morocco Global Adventures, I appreciated having time to relax and enjoy the scenery, especially in the Sahara Desert, where I could take in the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful landscapes. These moments made the experience feel more authentic and personal.
What type of accommodation did you have? What did you like best about it?
During my adventure in Morocco with Morocco Global Adventures, I stayed in a mix of traditional riads, comfortable hotels, and a desert camp in the Sahara. I especially enjoyed the riads because they offered an authentic Moroccan atmosphere, with beautiful traditional architecture, welcoming hospitality, and local décor.
The Sahara Desert camp was another unforgettable experience, giving me the opportunity to spend the night surrounded by the dunes and enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere under the stars. I loved how the accommodations allowed me to experience both the comfort and the authentic character of Morocco.
What is one thing every future participant should know about your program before their program begins?
One thing every future participant should know is to come with an open mind and a spirit of adventure. I believe the biggest benefit of traveling abroad is the opportunity to see the world from adifferent perspective. My experience in Morocco with Morocco Global Adventures allowed me to step outside my comfort zone, discover a new culture, meet different people, and experience traditions firsthand.
Traveling also teaches you to be more open-minded, adaptable, and appreciative of the differences that make each culture unique.
