What inspired you to work for Wisdom Career Education?
I was drawn to this organization in 2022 because of its exceptional capacity for adaptation and success, which has been demonstrated throughout its eighteen-year history since 2008. I have always appreciated global exposure, having graduated with a Master's degree in the UK in 2012, but this company's moral "student-first" ethos particularly motivated me.
I joined just as the Navi Mumbai head office started a strategic expansion into the wider overseas education vertical, even though our main reputation was for providing top-notch hospitality internships. As the company grew from a specialized hospitality specialist to a full-service global education consultancy, I saw an opportunity to lead the Pune branch.
I find it incredibly fulfilling and professionally energizing to be able to provide students with pathways into renowned, affordable public universities in Germany and Italy, in addition to internships in far-flung places like the Maldives or Japan.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is the "Strategic Matchmaking"—connecting a student’s current Indian degree with a global opportunity that greatly enhances their market value. Since we expanded our focus to include public universities in Germany and Italy, I have loved seeing the relief on students' faces when they realize a world-class education is within reach.
I also find great satisfaction in our diverse portfolio; one day I might be guiding a hospitality student for an internship in the Maldives, and the next, I'm helping a student apply for a specialized skill development program in Italy.
As a part of the Pune branch, I get to witness the moment a student realizes that their career isn't limited by geography. That "aha!" moment, supported by our 18 years of ethical service, is what makes this role so rewarding.

How do you use your education and international background in your current role?
My Master’s degree from the UK in 2012 is the foundation of my counselling approach in Pune. Having been an international student myself, I can relate to the challenges of relocating abroad.
I use my background to simplify the process for our students—whether it’s explaining the academic demands of a public university or the professional expectations of an internship in the USA or France. My education allows me to view our "Immersion Programs" and "Skill Development" initiatives from an academic perspective, ensuring they meet the high standards our students expect.
I bridge the gap between the vision of our Navi Mumbai headquarters and the practical needs of Pune students, serving as a living example of how a global education can launch a successful career in India.
What challenges do you often face and how do you overcome them?
The biggest challenge I face now is navigating "Geopolitical Headwinds" that can suddenly impact visa policies or travel to certain areas. We address this by having a diverse portfolio. When one region becomes difficult, we shift our focus to our thriving hospitality internships in the Maldives or UAE, and our new educational pathways in Italy and Germany.
Another challenge is the misconception about "Public vs. Private" universities. Many students think public means lower quality, while in Europe, it is often the opposite. I tackle this with evidence-based counselling, showing them rankings and success stories from alumni.
Finally, there’s the issue of financial trust within the consultancy sector. I build this trust by highlighting our 18-year reputation and our transparent refund policy, which gives peace of mind to students and parents in Pune as they make this major life decision.
What are some current projects you are working on?
Currently, my main project is the "European Public University Initiative" here in Pune. With our recent launch of German and Italian admissions, I am focused on raising awareness about the great value these public systems provide.
I am also collaborating closely with local hospitality colleges to promote our new Skill Development programs in Malaysia and Italy, which offer a more hands-on approach than traditional internships.
Another exciting project is our "Global Immersion Series," concentrating on Dubai and Malaysia, where we are working with our headquarters to ensure students enjoy a perfect mix of university and industry experience. My goal is to make the Pune branch a centre for these new, diversified offerings, ensuring we expand the business by meeting the needs of modern Indian students.

Trying to deliver best to get success in life
What advice would you tell your pre-travel self?
Before my first overseas experience, I would advise my younger self to stop worrying about the schedule and instead concentrate on the interactions. I used to get so caught up in the details of travel—the flights, the lodging, the "must-see" lists—that I occasionally lost sight of the present.
I would advise myself to welcome the discomfort that comes with being an outsider since that is precisely where the most important personal development takes place. I would tell myself to seek out local coffee shops and converse with people whose life experiences are completely different from mine.
Above all, I would stress that the mistakes you make when adjusting to a new culture are not failures; rather they are the most lasting lessons you will ever learn about humility and adaptability.
What makes Wisdom Career Education special?
What really makes us different from other organizations is how we bring together the "Wisdom of Age" with the "Startup Agility." With 18 years of experience behind us (since 2008), we transformed our entire business strategy in the last year to take on a new focus towards education, and new immersion programs in the Middle East and Malaysia.
We offer a unique Hospitality model by offering not only internships in the USA or Japan but skill development in Italy and degree programs at public universities in Italy and Germany.
Last but not least, we have a no-loss guarantee. Our ethical stance on offering a money-back guarantee (with pre-agreed deductions) combined with our emphasis on working with high-value public institutions demonstrates that we put the future of our students before our own short-term profit. The combination of our variety of programs, ethical principles and expertise is truly one-of-a-kind in India.
Why should someone choose Wisdom Career Education over competitors?
Our organization stands out because we provide a "safety-first" ethical model along with valuable academic pathways that few can match. While competitors often promote expensive private colleges, we assist with complex admission processes for public universities in Germany and Italy. These institutions offer great value, often with low to no tuition fees, which is a game-changer for Indian families.
Additionally, our 18-year legacy means we don't just hope for the best; we have the network to make it happen. Our "No-Loss" financial policy is a major advantage. If a student’s work is not completed due to factors beyond our control, we refund their investment with only pre-agreed deductions.
Whether a student seeks a hospitality internship in the USA or a skill development program in Italy or Malaysia, they choose us because we guarantee a path to professional growth.
Are there any developments with Wisdom Career Education that you would like to share with us?
Over the past year, we’ve undergone several changes as an organization. One of the most significant changes was the expansion of our education vertical. This development has been centred around our efforts to provide a better opportunity for students by allowing them to gain admission into Public Universities in two of the most sought-after countries, Germany and Italy, based on their academic performance. Not only is this a major shift from our prior focus, but it also allows us to provide the highest quality of education at a phenomenal price for students seeking a great education.
We successfully launched our Immersion Programs in several other countries, including Malaysia, Dubai, and Japan. The Immersion Programs provide students with a true 360-degree view of the academic and industrial landscape in each of the host nations. Our Skill Development Program is designed specifically to provide students in the hospitality industry with an immediate technical advantage over their peers.
Through these developments led by our headquarters in Navi Mumbai, we are now able to offer a greater diversity and excitement of opportunities than we have ever been able to offer historically — through our Pune and Chennai offices, now for the 18th year.
What makes Wisdom Career Education easy to market to potential participants?
Our mission is to make global professional opportunities accessible for Indian students by providing ethical, transparent, and impactful pathways to international success. As the head of the Pune branch, I work toward this mission by educating our local students about the changing landscape of global education.
Last year, we shifted our focus to education due to global changes, and my role became about communicating this "new value." I ensure that students in Pune understand that an 'Immersion Program' in the Middle East or a public university degree in Italy or Germany isn't just an alternative; it’s often a better career choice.
By upholding the high ethical standards set by our Navi Mumbai headquarters since 2008, I work to make sure every student who joins our program sees a real boost in their CV, ultimately helping them become competitive professionals worldwide.
What do you hope participants take away from your programs?

Delivering the Best to build brighter future
I hope participants leave our programs with "Global Versatility." Whether they are hospitality students doing internships in the UAE, Oman, or Vietnam, or attending our new immersion programs in Malaysia or Spain, I want them to understand how global industries work.
They should gain technical "hard skills" from our new skill development programs in Italy and Malaysia, but more importantly, I want them to develop "soft skills" like adaptability and cross-cultural collaboration.
I want our students to return to India—or take on global roles—confident that they have received top-level training. I want them to see themselves as not just graduates, but as valuable assets who can navigate the complexities of the modern international workforce easily.
If you could participate on one of Wisdom Career Education's programs, where would you go and what would you do?
If I had an opportunity to participate in one of our internship programs, I would absolutely select Japan because it is a truly unique blend of old and new as far as its culture, hospitality, and technology is concerned. Having spent the past several years in the industry and having observed the expansion of the internship segment within our industry, I have been very eager to experience firsthand the “industry interaction” component of this exciting program.
I would also like to study Japan’s distinctive approach toward service and how they incorporate this approach with contemporary business methods; plus I would want to visit Japan’s colleges and universities in order to learn how they train students to become part of Japan’s disciplined workforce.
With this exposure, I could bring back a tremendous amount of information for the students here in Pune, so that they could learn to incorporate traditional hospitality principles into their modern day professional performance, since this is one of the most important lessons we can teach that will be of great advantage in today’s globally competitive environment.
Why is it important for people to travel abroad and experience new cultures?
Traveling abroad is the ultimate "career booster." In today’s interconnected world, being confined to one’s own culture is a disadvantage. When a student goes abroad for an internship in Japan or pursues a degree in Italy, they have to break down their old viewpoints and rebuild them with a global perspective.
This cultural immersion builds a level of cultural intelligence that employers highly value. From my own experience in the UK, I know that the ability to communicate across borders can turn a good manager into a great leader.
It teaches resilience—navigating a foreign public university system or working in a busy Maldives resort requires a level of determination that you simply cannot develop at home. It makes students more empathetic, more creative, and much more prepared for the unpredictable global economy.
Why do you think learning a new language is important?
For students embarking on overseas study, knowing another language can be considered the secret weapon to give them the competitive advantage in their profession. Many hospitality internships overseas are conducted entirely in English. However, knowing the language of the country one will be working in will help land students with an immediate professional advantage over those who did not address the language barrier.
Within the public institutions of these areas (like Germany and Italy), knowing the language will unlock the full potential of the curriculum as well as open many more opportunities in the local labour market. Acquiring this skill will indicate a commitment to completing the necessary work to successfully become immersed and excel at integrating into the culture.
At the Pune branch, I consistently remind students to view language acquisition as a driver for value-added skillsets that will significantly increase their overall value in terms of their professional reputation.
What does meaningful travel mean to you?
To me, meaningful travel is all about the depth of experience rather than the distance travelled. It’s travel that leaves a positive impact on both the traveller and the host community. It isn’t about just checking off tourist attractions; it's about "slow travel" and immersion.
Meaningful travel involves learning a few phrases of the local language, showing interest in the socio-political history of the place, and committing to ethical consumption. For our students, meaningful travel happens when they stop being "visitors" and become "contributors"—whether through an internship project, a volunteer opportunity, or simply by sharing their own Indian culture with peers abroad.
It’s the kind of travel that changes perspectives, so they return home not just with photos, but with a deeper understanding of their role in the global community.

Connecting the students
What does ethical global engagement mean to you?
Ethical global engagement means treating every student's career and their family's finances with the utmost respect. In an industry where many "agents" have come and gone since 2008, our longevity is founded on honesty. For me, it means that if a student is not a good fit for a public university in Germany, we provide the truth instead of false hope.
It means our refund policy is more than just a document; it’s a promise. If things don’t work out for reasons beyond our control, we ensure the student isn’t left stranded. It also means selecting our international partners, from the UAE to Japan, based on their ability to provide a safe and enriching environment for our students.
We don’t just facilitate travel; we create ethical, professional experiences that support and empower the next generation.
