Director of Volunteer Programs for H.E.L.P.Barbara Porter has had a long career in education, beginning with 16 years as a schoolteacher. Following that she worked for the University of Edinburgh, on their programmes for international students. Barbara first worked for HELP as a volunteer teacher in Sikkim in 2005 and following that leading teacher-training seminars in India and Nepal. She has been on the Board of HELP for the last 4 years as Director of the Volunteer Teacher Programme.
