Our brand new language trip incorporates the best of what Spain has to offer with an effective language program that doesn't keep you cooped up in class all day. This all-encompassing trip is perfect for anyone who wants to see Spain's two biggest cities, learn Spanish without feeling overwhelmed by class time, and enjoy a relaxing weekend on one of Europe's premier vacation islands, Mallorca. VĂ¡manos!
DAY 1: NEWARK (FOR THOSE WHO OPT TO TAKE THE GROUP FLIGHT)
As the group flight takes off, the trip officially begins!
DAYS 2 -7: MADRID, TOLEDO, SEGOVIA
We'll start in the bustling capital of Madrid where we spend a full 8 days getting to know Spanish culture and cuisine, exploring world famous museums and sites, and taking day trips to the nearby towns of Toledo and Segovia. Weekday mornings you'll have 2 hours of classes at an accredited language school followed by a third hour of outside the classroom instruction arranged by the counselors; you might have a scavenger hunt, take a trip to the market, or be in charge of leading your group to a place in the city by asking for directions.
DAYS 7 - 10: PALMA DE MALLORCA
The morning after our spectacular final dinner of paella in the sprawling Plaza Mayor, we say goodbye to Madrid and hop a quick flight to our next destination, Palma de Mallorca. Over the course of the weekend we'll relax in our hotel overlooking the harbor, lie out on the Cala Major beach, walk along the harbor where some of the world's largest yachts are anchored, and eat delicious authentic Catalan cuisine in restaurants tucked away on pedestrian cobblestone streets. The highlight of our trip to Palma, however, will be a 5 hour catamaran cruise to an island just off the coast where we drop anchor and snorkel in crystal blue waters as the crew prepares a feast for us. You'll also have the option of visiting the magnificent la Seu Cathedral, and shopping in downtown Palma.
DAYS 10 - 18: BARCELONA
Our trip continues (for those opting for the full 18 day trip) in Spain's second most populous and cosmopolitan city, Barcelona. Just as in Madrid, you'll have 2 hours of classes each morning followed by outside the classroom activities focused on honing your Spanish skills. The rest of your time will be devoted to experiencing Barcelona; take a bike tour along the beach and up through the city to la Sagrada Familia with our charismatic Aussie guide; see a flamenco show, go shopping on la Rambla and watch world class street performers vie for your attention; head up to Park Guell for a panoramic view of the city and sit on the world's longest bench; relax on the famous Barceloneta beach, learn how to make Paella and tapas, wander the Picasso museum, and much more!

Travel for Teens believes that teen travel should be both fun and enriching. Our programs feature choice in what you do, see, and experience, a dynamic that sets us apart from superficial tours that herd large groups from one site to another. We visit the best of the mainstream attractions while offering the opportunity to explore the culture from a less touristy perspective. We interact with our host cultures, taking cooking and dance lessons, performing valuable service work to help local communities, and conversing with the people who have spent their lives living in the places we journey to. We have crafted our unique programs to engender love for travel, hunger for learning, curiosity about differences, appreciation of similarities across cultures, and an understanding of what it means to be a global citizen.
