ISA in Rome, Italy
Description
Rome’s many neighborhoods and sprawling historical sites give the sense of being in a small town, despite the fact of being home to almost 3 million people. Rome is the political capital of Italy and regional capital of Lazio, as well as being home to an entire City State - the Vatican City. In addition to its strong political influences, the Eternal City also boasts an incredible amount of history and art from Ancient Rome, Medieval, Baroque, Renaissance, and Paleo-Christian periods. A walk or bus ride through even the most commonplace neighborhoods of the city offers encounters with innumerable monuments, towering obelisks, and major imperial buildings that impressively still remain just as they have for 2,000 years.
