And even if you don't necessarily want to go into a teaching career, this class is very useful for developing a valuable skillset for use in the future. If we put in the time and effort, this class helps us to expand our practical knowledge as well as our abilities in management, teamwork, and leadership!

My experience since Day 1 has been exactly as advertised, with instruction that more than prepares you to teach English and lead a classroom, an endless supply of resources at your disposal, and job search guidance. This class has prepared me to take on the teaching world outside North America. I really liked the templates that were available to me to complete assignments, and the option to watch a replay of the live lectures and webinars was also helpful! My instructor, Caitlin, even had an extra check in on us as a the course had met its halfway point! It was an optional discussion to talk amongst our peers about how the class was going so far, and what we'd like to see ourselves do better in, or talk about our recent success to share amid our classmates! Observing real life classes was also helpful, as I saw many instructors teach to foreigners here in Cincinnati, and was able to ask the classmates when class was finished who their favorite was and why!

The instructor was flexible and understanding, the advisors did a star-spangled awesome job, I never felt like I would feel this good or prepared but its helped so much throughout this course. wasn't so hard that it was overwhelming but definitely posed a challenge. i'd pick ITEFLA over and over again.

My instructor was very experienced and definitely knew what she was doing, and offered great advice on teaching overseas. The course was easy to navigate. The instructions on assignments were clear. The work was intense, but it is all worth it, because it ensured that I had what I needed to teach overseas.

I think this course provided me with a lot of resources and insights that I can use when I end up teaching abroad. Actually taking the course and completing the assignments made it all seem a lot less daunting since I got to practice a lot of what will be expected of me when I actually need to teach. Overall, the course is very worthwhile and simple enough to complete if you dedicate the time and work.

One thing that was invaluable for me, was the ability to work through the course on my own schedule. As a full-time employee, I was able to fit it in each week in addition to work and travel. They use a variety of tools to help teach the class both internally and externally, which I appreciated. The video content helped to add variety as well, so you're not just stuck reading pages of text. I think that this course has definitely helped me get ready for teaching abroad.

This TEFL course by ITA was a great experience. The online platform was easy to use and the teacher was very easy to communicate with. The course material I believe really matches what will be necessary in any ESL classroom and was exciting to experience as well.

I am a mature student who was provided the opportunity to change careers after 30 - years and to do something completely different. After deciding to pursue my first passion – teaching English as a Foreign Language I wanted the education and TEFL certification to be well known, respected and accepted by the business community. I researched the various schools that provided this certification and chose the International TEFL Academy. They offered the best variety of classes, schedules, and locations to meet my needs. I chose the 11- week online course program as that worked the best for me and my schedule. The course was intense, and the expectations were high. I spent at least 10 to 15 hours per week completing the assignments for each chapter. At no time during the course did I ever feel I was alone in the learning process. My instructor was very encouraging and would explain each task thoroughly. She was available for all of my questions and concerns either through e-mail or during the weekly instructor chat sessions. After starting my Practicum, tutoring refugees in pronunciation, writing, and reading English, I put my new skillset to use. Practicing what I learned. To date, I have received excellent feedback from the teachers of the English Language Learners that I am tutoring. They are all surprised that this is my first teaching experience. I would highly recommend International TEFL Academy to all of those who are seeking a new and exciting challenge.

ITA really laid the groundwork for what it will be like to go into a foreign classroom, lesson plan, engage with students, and teach English. I didn't quite realize how challenging this would be, but once I was over the hill of doing the work of planning (because I can be quite lazy when it comes to doing work), it was very rewarding and satisfying to see my work through. I also worked on plenty of great materials I can use as a portfolio moving forward. I started this course with little confidence in my ability to efficiently teach something to someone else, but now I feel a bit better about the prospect of it. Also, the chapter readings were broken up into sections, interlaced with images and videos that made it very easy to read and be motivated to keep reading. My course mates were intelligent and gave intelligent answers in discussions, and my teacher gave thorough feedback and advice on assignments. I definitely recommend this course for to people who are either sure about TEFL or on the fence, because this class will definitely tell you whether TEFL is right for you.

TEFL academy online course was great because I could work my schedule around work and class. I enjoyed the course and am looking forward to teaching abroad and having job assistance for life. My course was online so the teacher student relationship wasn't very personal but that didn't seem to take away from my overall understanding of the material.

Let me start with a short history on me. I have been in education for over 6 years. Mainly in IT and teaching that to staff, teachers and students. I have been to college three times and the last time round started to be as a Masters to teach college level IT stuff. BUT I got sidetracked when a friend suggested I try teaching english overseas. I ended up at a high school in China and I loved it. Sadly due to my past military time I had to come home but I decided that I would get my TEFL and keep going. Started searching online and found lots of good stuff being said about ITA and the people really helping you get your dream going. So, after some time I took the course, It was better than I thought, more in depth and detail on a few aspects than I had planned or considered but the lessons learned and the resources available are amazing. However, with all that, there are some things that I have to be honest and say: I'm older (yea, you got that already right?) so I felt it would be better if the reading was larger on the screen (I did my course online) and even with a 24" widescreen and a option to put it on my 50" HD TV the text was still small with the left side of the screen filled with the course information. My class was over 24 people but only about 3 of us ever took part in any of the Peer or student to student activities. There were a couple part of the class that I felt needed some work, and at least one deletion. Overall, if you want your TEFL so you can teach overseas and do a good job, ITA is the place to get it online. Put yourself into it, do the reading, do the research and by the end you will feel like your ready to walk into a room full of gundars...or, wrong reference, sorry. A room full of kids and teach them how to learn english.
