    Study abroad in Madrid. The IES Abroad Madrid Program is designed for those who want to experience the vitality of Spain by living in its capital city and through course enrollment at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), one of the countrys most distinguished universities.

    The IES Abroad Madrid program is designed for students interested in a Spanish-immersion program who want to experience the vitality of Spain through its capital city. Founded in 1964, the IES Abroad Madrid program consists of a wide range of courses taught at the IES Abroad Center and through the local partner universities Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria.

    - You have the opportunity to take IES Abroad area studies courses in fields such as Art History, Business, Cinema, Economics, History, Literature, and Political Science.
    - IES Abroad Internship placements are available in a variety of public and private organizations.
    - You may also enroll in a variety of courses taught at the second and third years at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria.
    - Several housing options: homestays, homestays with kitchen privileges, student apartments and residence halls/colegio mayores.
    - Each semester, you will take guided visits around Madrid with Spanish university students during orientation to familiarize yourself with your new city. Throughout the semester, you will also have the opportunity to take various guided trips.
