Since 1950, IES has been building quality study abroad programs and introducing U.S. students to new places, studies, and ways of thinking. A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extensive financial aid in almost 30 programs throughout the world.

IES Abroad Milan welcomes students of all Italian language levels and offers a wide variety of courses and internships that take advantage of the city's reputation as a modern center of business and a world leader in music and art. This is an ideal program for students of Business, Music, Art History, Design & Fashion, and the Social Sciences.
The Program offers internship placements, enrollment in IES Abroad and university courses, housing in apartments or an honors residence hall, field trips, and extra-curricular activities.
- Accelerate language learning with Beginning/Intermediate and Advanced Italian language programs for students at all proficiency levels.
- Broaden music studies in a city renowned for opera and symphony orchestra with a customized Music currriculum and opportunities at the Accademia Internazionale della Musica.
- Enroll in English- & Italian-taught Business courses at Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Universita Bocconi.
- Study Fashion and Design through course options at the Scuola Politecnica di Design and the Istituto di Moda Burgo.
- Acquire science lab research experience by assisting in a laboratory at the Universita degli Studi di Milano Bicocca.
- Gain work experience and a unique cultural perspective through internships in business, government, and publishing.
- Live in apartments or the Honors Residence Hall.
- Enjoy field trips to Lago Maggiore, the Alps and Parma.
