  • Description

Volunteer in Africa! Work on village development projects including teaching, building classrooms and dormitories, and supplying books and other school materials. Volunteers help repair roofs, paint classrooms, construct desks and chairs, and assist with other construction tasks related to the expansion of the secondary schools. Volunteers may also teach beginning through intermediate English pronunciation and conversation in a high school classrooms. English is the language of instruction, but in the remote villages where we work, you will find that the students' English comprehension is limited.

On some teams physicians, nurses, dentists and physical therapists may work part-time at rural clinics performing examinations and well-baby checkups. Volunteers also provide basic computer instruction on portable computers donated through various individuals and organizations.

Help improve impoverished Tanzanian children's potential in this internationally recognized service program. Service program cost for students is USD 2,095 for three weeks.

  • Highlights

Work alongside local teachers and students during the school year in remote partner communities. Our hosts make certain your skills and interests are put to the best use on long-term community infrastructure, teaching and medical projects. Your efforts will help ease the suffering and engender hope for the future of students and their families. Lend your heart and hands to make a world of difference!

The team drives through Mikumni National Park on the way to the project sites. Volunteers enjoy cooking and basket-weaving lessons, attending various community ceremonies and playing soccer with the local people.
