A nursing elective abroad with Elective Africa helps improve relevant skills and ensures that you stand out among your peers in clinical skills and knowledge.
With the limited resources in a developing country, you have the opportunity to gain supervised hands-on experience in nursing care and other bedside procedures. This is rewarding to both nursing students and a Registered Nurse (RN) undertaking a healthcare mission trip abroad. Scarce resources versus the high patient inflow in Tanzania or Kenya's hospitals and clinics require nurses to perform beyond their traditional duties, thus providing program participants with a wide variety of duties and opportunities to help and observe.
They get more time to give care to patients and are expected to gain a lot from their assigned mentors and healthcare professionals. Apart from the hospital internships, we also offer a chance to immerse in a new culture, volunteer with the less fortunate, and visit various adventure destinations.
