Improve your Spanish while enjoying plenty of opportunities to explore Quito, a culturally rich city in the Andes surrounded by volcanic peaks. Its biological and geographic diversity offers countless adventures in the wild. Take one language course over three weeks and earn 4 undergraduate credits. All classes take place at the University of Minnesota’s partner organization, Fundación CIMAS – a local study center. Small class sizes allow you many opportunities to practice your language skills and receive feedback from the instructor. Live with a host family, who will help boost your Spanish while introducing you to local culture and traditions. This program can be combined with the MSID Ecuador semester or academic year program for an extended experience abroad.
