SALTS (Sail and Life Training Society)

Traditional tall ship sailing along the British Columbia Coast is a unique experience offered through S.A.L.T.S. Sail and Life Training Society. Several trips each summer take youth 13-25 along the expansive and nearly untouched coastline. Depending on the route, onshore expeditions can include white sandy beaches, hikes to waterfalls, or education about indigenous culture. Onboard life, however, is the focus of our trips. Along with development of lifelong friendships through a close-knit shipboard community, trainees learn how to sail, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and learn how to embrace and share their true selves.
