Volunteer abroad and work at a Primary Health Care Center, located an hour and a half away from the city. Currently, the center has 23 professionals who work together to receive 3,000 consultations per month. Patients come from neighborhoods near Río Reconquista, a vulnerable neighborhood. The director is Fernando, who has been working there for over 30 years. Their primary goal is to share their knowledge of preventive health with the community, aiming to prevent patients from falling ill. This way, besides taking care of patients, they can educate and provide them with the tools to manage their own health.

The center provides first-level assistance to patients, but does not cover emergencies. Doctors work hard to offer a friendly service and reach the most vulnerable places. They focus on prevention; hence, their work involves contraception, rapid HIV test detection, workshops in schools, and community visits. They face numerous difficulties, including treating patients with various illnesses caused by pollution, inadequate sanitary conditions, and the neighborhood's precarious sewage system. As a volunteer, you will assist doctors in carrying out their duties.
