South Africa’s tourism industry is flourishing, with thousands of travelers curious about safari and Big Five tours. However, the country still has a high unemployment rate, especially in rural villages and remote areas. You will join a company in empowering jobless South Africans through creative opportunities.

This is an internship in art and design wherein you help an organization facilitate its community development project to provide social upliftment. The focus is on dynamic and unique wire art to help provide needed skills through training. While this art genre is not new, the company brings together people with skills in wire art, marketing, production development, and industrial design.

As an intern, your duties range from marketing to raw material sourcing. Throughout the program, you will be exposed to various areas of wire art design - e-marketing, sales, product development, logistics, etc. You will research trends: decorations, gift ideas, product ideas using recycled materials, and more. You will put approved designs into new catalogs and implement a product proposal and plan.
