This program hopes to positively impact at-risk children by introducing them to sports and physical activities. It supports some of Cape Town’s most impoverished kids. The main activity is coaching at a primary school level. Volunteers assist local coaches with sports and fitness training. They also teach important skills such as team building and living a healthy lifestyle. Physical education has only recently been introduced into South Africa's educational system, so most schools have limited equipment and resources. The participation of volunteers provides much-needed extra pairs of hands. Prior experience in teaching isn't required as long as participants have a high level of patience, enthusiasm, and a "can-do" attitude!
