Program Overview

Intern abroad in vibrant Cape Town (South Africa) or tranquil Ezulwini (Swaziland) in this Kaya program. Whether you’re a student or experienced practitioner, you’ll learn a lot while working with local teachers and students. The projects in both placements collaborate with local preschools that set up a better start in life for young children. Run by women from surrounding communities, these schools are at different stages of development. A curriculum is already in place, so they need support with effective implementation. They also need help with student assessment and skills development for teachers. Your role involves working with local qualified educators to provide vulnerable children with an inspiring learning environment inside and outside the classroom. The Early Childhood Development Internship in Africa is available all year round, with a duration of 4–12 weeks. To be eligible, you need some experience in this field or in education—at least one year of study or practical experience. Bring a positive attitude, love of children, and team working skills to make the most out of this placement.
