Construction in Rural Cambodia

Volunteer abroad in a project that provides an education center for Cambodian children from the surrounding poor communities. With the help of local tradesmen and volunteers, our partner has constructed a school attended by more than 300 kids. With the increasing number of students, the school is in continuous need of new buildings, toilets, pathways, and other facilities. Your placement starts with a one-week orientation dedicated to learning about the pace of life, customs, and traditions in Cambodia. You will visit temples and take part in a Q&A session with local monks to learn about Buddhism. You will also take basic ‘survival’ language classes and learn traditional cooking techniques.
