Learning Spanish, getting to know Panama, and making friends!!
August 02, 2018by: Risa Motohashi - JapanProgram: Spanish Language Program: One to One (Private Classes)I took group lessons everyday for 3 months, and it was such a fun and fulfilling experience!! All the teachers and staff members of the school were very kind and supportive, and they would always be sure that the students completely understood everything. The group I was in was 3 to 4 people, and it was just the right number of people to have a good and active conversation, and also get to know each other. The lessons were based on a textbook to study grammar and vocabulary, and there was also a lot of time for conversation, and I felt that way of studying made my Spanish improve faster. There was also a get-together time once in a while at the cafeteria just outside the school so that we would also get to know other students and other teachers. The school has students from all over the world, and it's very exciting to speak with all the other students and know their different cultures. Other than that, there was also an activity day once a week, and the staff would take you to cultural or natural places of Panama. For example, I got to go to the Gamboa Rainforest, Parque Metropolitano, Taboga Island, San Blas Island, Panama Viejo, Parque Municipal Summit, and many more fun places! They were also good opportunities for me to practice my Spanish outside of the classroom. Thanks to EPA!, I am now able to use Spanish on a daily conversation level, and more importantly, I made a lot of friends who are from different places of the world who have become my very close friends which I meet often even now.
