My first impressions as a tourist
January 28, 2021by: Sugura Maharramova - AzerbaijanProgram: Permaculture Farming ProgramIt was very interesting and exciting time in life.It happened many years ago.Nearly 15 years ago.I visited as tourist for 10 days.I got acquainted with a lot of new people speaking russian, belonging to different culture. What attracted my attention in local people was their directness and honesty.Their clothes weren't so smart ,only all women not depending their age did make-up,especilly ,without exemption use lipstick. While for climate ,as I visited in summer- the beginning of month-it was warm.It wasn't felt aliveness in the air.As for food I missed for eastern cuisine.I found russian meals not delicious.
Giving back
November 02, 2018by: Aisha Makonga - Democratic Republic of CongoI’m from African my parents are originally from Congo but I was born in Tanzania and grow up in Mozambique came to the United States when I was 16. I know education is important to those countries there is nothing I could love like going back home and give back and encourage other youths to focus in school and have a better future.
