The BA (Hons) in Production Design for Screen and Film is a comprehensive three-year degree program taught at the Screen and Film School, Brighton. This equips students with the essential creative, logistic, and production skills needed in the fast-paced screen and film industry. 

From day one, you’ll learn fundamental design skills, art department roles, and production relationships. Professional film directors will mentor you, enhancing your costume design, props, and make-up skills. Collaboration on short film productions with Filmmaking and Hair and Make-Up students deepens your understanding of the industry. In the second year, choose specialist modules to improve your skills in studio and location design, combining traditional and digital techniques. The third year focuses on refining your proficiency through personal projects and final live film production, guided by expert film practitioners integrating academic and professional practice.

To be eligible for this program, you'll need a minimum of two A-levels at Grade C or above (or a BTEC Level 3 equivalent), good English language skills (IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each band), and a passion for film and design.
