Adelante placed me with a company very tailored to my interests--something that involved both Criminology and Psychology. This summer I was blessed to live in the center of Madrid!!!! I was placed in Puerta del Sol and I loved every single opportunity I received there. I always had something to do and there was never a dull moment. I also gained two amazing friends that conveniently lived in my shared apartment. I will forever love the experiences I had, and I will 100% be back.

My experience was very good overall in terms of professional and personal improvement. I was very fortunate to meet and share this experience with amazing people, and to be able to enjoy and learn a lot during this program. It helped to have Adelante and the Eureka staff's support throughout the whole time. My internship also allowed me to gain practical experience and more in-depth knowledge of clinical psychology whilst working in a good professional environment.
Being in Madrid was an amazing experience. I met so many people and was able to travel around Europe. Fortunately, I gained real world experience in the field of psychology which helped me gain great knowledge.

During your psychology internship abroad or social work internship abroad, you’ll shadow licensed professionals, assist with client cases, participate in private practice or non-profit work, and gain hands-on experience that strengthens your resume and professional skills.
Our affordable international internship program is open to students and recent graduates with prior studies in psychology, social work, or related fields. Placements require low-intermediate Spanish level and a 2-monht program minimum.
Depending on your schedule and program choice, you can intern anywhere from 2-6 months. Our program has rolling start dates and begins the first Saturday of each month.
Participants can choose between shared apartments or homestays with local families, giving you the chance to fully immerse yourself in Spanish culture while completing your Spain internship.
