This course definitely give you abundant of teaching materials and resources to help you build your skills and knowledge.

If you are like me and considering making a complete left turn in life to become an ESL teacher, this course is without a doubt your best option. From the inquiry call to graduation, I felt so well supported by the staff and trainer. Be prepared that the course is intense! But it is meant to be to ensure you are well prepared to be the best teacher possible. The teaching practice is the cherry on top to practice everything you've learned and gives you opportunity to make mistakes and improve each class you teach. After completing the course, I am confident that I've got the tools needed to be a great ESL teacher. There is still so much room to grow, but my foundation is super solid from this course. Would highly recommend to anyone considering becoming an ESL teacher :)

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I was the hiring manager for one of the largest language centers in Thailand. As such, I saw the entire spectrum of teachers in Thailand, and realized that far too many were honestly doing more harm than good. Whether it was a lack of passion or inspiration, missing technical skills, imperceptions about Thai learners or culture, or (all too often) a combination of all of those factors. I made up my mind that I would be part of the solution, and train empowered, inspired, and capable teachers to raise the standard for educators in Thailand.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
Back in 2013 after finishing my TEFL, if I was asked who I'd like to work for, I would've wished Samui TEFL (now known as Destination TEFL) could've hired me. I'll never forget my mentor saying that if she opened a new centre, she would hire me. So when she actually offered me the position in July 2019—there wasn't much thinking for me to do.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I get up at 5:00 a.m. due to the time difference between Europe and Asia, where our training centres are located. That way I can attend to any urgent matters not too late in the day for the team on the ground. I’ll then liaise with our sales team with regards to any marketing ideas as well as any sign ups, and onboard any new applicants.
