What inspired you to work for Immerse Education?

Being in the education sector for several years, I’ve dealt with thousands of students. Knowing I'm making an impact in the future of all those students, on an academic and career level that will define their life path, is one the most rewarding jobs I could imagine having.

Also, Immerse Education gives me the possibility to understand how students can be so different from each other and how to learn from them every single day.

What advice would you tell your pre-travel self?

Before traveling I believe everyone has their own rituals. I check multiple times if I have everything I will need. I think of everything I'll be doing and what clothes, shoes, equipment, accessories, etc to pack.

When going to the airport make sure you'll get there on time not to lose flights or be in a hurry. I can't think of a worse way to start a journey than being stressed about catching or not a flight.

What makes Immerse Education special?

The people who work there and everything they bring to the table that allow our programmes to reach students worldwide. If we didn’t work together the way we do and if there was no mutual assistance we could never reach our full potential.

When you put together people who care and have experienced education across the world you make sure your organization is special in so many ways.

Why should someone choose Immerse over competitors?

When speaking about competitors, everyone will just say they’re the best. At Immerse Education, we like to show why and how we focus our programmes on the students and their experience with us.

Across our programmes (existing and new ones) we thrive due to the quality and renewal of our offer maintaining the exact same standards we set ourselves to have from the beginning. We’ll keep on looking for new projects to be embedded in making sure we’ll maintain the same quality we have offered our students so far.

What is the organization's mission and how do you continue to work toward it?

The Immerse Education Manifesto aims to represent the values we adopt, not only in an educational context but as an organization in general. We believe that by adhering to these principles, we can deliver the highest standards of educational content, create positive experiences for all of our stakeholders.

We also realize the potential of anyone who encounters Immerse Education. These values are at the heart of what we do. We ensure that every student leaves our programmes with new-found expertise and enthusiasm to plan the next stages of their education with confidence.

What do you hope participants take away from your programs?

Our programmes are so much more than just the academic sessions or the activities. We want our students to leave our programmes with more certainty and more knowledge on the subject they chose to study and that it would help them in their academic journey.

But we also want them to leave with an uncountable number of stories to tell, to experience different cultures and to make friends from all over the world. In the end we want to make it a memory they will never forget.

Why is it important for people to travel abroad and experience new cultures?

I have always been a traveler myself. I have studied and worked in four different countries and I have always taken something from all those experiences. Besides that I’ve visited dozens of countries and there is always something new to experience.

It’s important to travel abroad and learn new cultures because those are the things you will always bring with you for life. You’ll get a new perspective of the world and will grow personally without even noticing. Opening yourself to what is out there is one of many ways to develop personally and professionally.

What does meaningful travel mean to you?

For me it means traveling with a purpose. And there are several different purposes such as work, leisure, etc. But on every of those trips I always try to make the most out of it. After visiting over 20 countries there's always a memory, an experience, a story that you'll bring with you forever and will have a different meaning but still will enrich your journey and help you in a random moment when you're not expecting it.

How is your company handling Covid protocols? What should participants know about your Covid readiness? How are you assisting participants with navigating the new travel landscape?

Covid was and has been a new adapting stage for everyone and at Immerse Education it was no different. When in 2020 everything started to shut down, we decided to develop online programs in order to keep providing our students the closest experience possible to what they had lived so far in our programs.

In 2022, we had again the possibility of returning to the University colleges to deliver our programs but still managed to ensure that all the Covid related issues were taken care of accordingly. With extra support on travel and during their summer experience, we managed to overcome it successfully.
