What inspired you to work for the IAN Academy?

IAN Administration

Describe a typical day at work.

My work begins with finding the offer requests and sending them to the student assessment department to then create the offer letter and pass it to the accommodation services office to place the student in the accommodative procedure. At the same time, I take care of the online payments and the related expenses to be put in the tax regime.

I also organize admissions according to the directives of the commission and I make sure that the team proceeds according to the “what if” analysis dictated by the management for the related departments such as administration, purchasing, teaching, and HR.

Why do you do what you do?

I hope to grow at IAN and to always be able to learn new and fascinating things from a cultural, anthropological, and professional point of view.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I like the practical things and the routine of producing documentation. I am a very technical person, so anything technical like processing specific documents.

How do you use your education and international background in your current role?

I have a degree in languages ??but a lot of experience in the world of work, and my organization has given me many training opportunities.

What challenges do you often face and how do you overcome them?

It is very complex to manage the document delivery to many incoming students and outgoing students without making mistakes, especially given the difficulty of foreign documents.

What are some current projects you are working on?

At the moment we are opening an office in Barcelona, so with the pandemic, it was very difficult to continue the work and we have delayed the opening until next September.

What advice would you tell your pre-travel self?

I would like to say that IAN is the right place for all those who want to have a fantastic learning experience in a beautiful city like Naples. The IAN Academy is a place where you feel good both as a staff and as a student and I am very happy to be a part of it.

What hopes do you have for the future for the IAN Academy?

I hope for a very brilliant future of growth and exponential expansion throughout the most important European Capitals and the Schengen Countries. Our organisation is made by very clear and honest people and we all share these values of life.

Are there any developments with your organization that you would like to share with us?

We have three locations and a vast range of facilities such as the Counselling Office, the Bureau of Accommodative Services for foreign students, as well as the Placement Agency internal to the Campus, which provides very good and favourable full time and part-time jobs.

What makes your organization easy to market to potential participants?

We are the leading educational organisation for international education in fields like Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, and General Management in the entire southern Italy. Our Academy is held by professional and independent brains who are always ready to lead changes and disruptive innovation.

How do you help support participants?

We help participants in many ways: our office of accommodative services helps with all the residence permit documentation and also in CV conversion in Europass for allowing them to apply through many job platforms and take more opportunities to settle their careers.

What questions do participants often ask you, and how do you typically respond?

I'm always keen to help the staff accomplish their tasks and offer my support to resolve problems and questions related to my field. As I am a technical person, usually people approach me with technical issues.

What does meaningful travel mean to you?

For me, travel must not be the destination, but the starting point for a new experience or maybe for a new lifestyle. Meaningful travel can be translated into many things considering that study trips are not just simple trips, but occasions to meet new friends, learn new things, learn a new language, and a new way of life.
