The Stirling program offers students the opportunity to enroll in a wide range of courses in a variety of disciplines at the University of Stirling, one of the top rated academic institutions in Scotland. Stirling, an ancient fortress city that guarded the major crossing of the River Forth, is in the center of Scotland, 30 miles from Glasgow and 40 miles from Edinburgh, Scotland's two major cities. An exciting mix of old and new, the city of Stirling has a growing reputation as one of the most attractive places to live in the United Kingdom. It has emerged as a leading cultural and business center, with on-going regeneration in both industry and the arts. The University of Stirling is set on a wooded and landscaped site, which includes a small loch (lake) and Airthrey castle. The University has some of the finest sports facilities in the country, including a 50 meter swimming pool as part of the National Swimming Academy, fitness room, National Indoor Tennis Center, athletic track, and a nine-hole golf course.
