Established in 1973, Lorenzo de' Medici is one of the largest and leading international schools, with centers in Florence, Rome and Tuscania. LdM Certificate Programs offer students the opportunity to develop their potential individual creativity, artistic talent and technical and professional skills in Design, Restoration and Fine Arts.
During the first two semesters of the Study Certificate program, students will become familiar with the basic skills of Interior Design through the learning of technical design, perspective, project making, and the history and principles of Interior Design. Students will start with small projects and, little by little, will be led to handle more complex design themes. In all of our courses, which are always held in small groups, students are guaranteed to receive individual attention by our qualified teachers. Students learn the use of traditional instruments as well as how to use a computer for CAD programs for Photoshop and for rendering their technical design in two and three dimensions. Students will have the opportunity to work with numerous projects and, during the design phase, they will learn how to approach the main issues relative to the market and the industry. All courses (except Italian language) are conducted in English.

Lorenzo de' Medici is committed to helping students realize their own potential, providing a quality education that will enable them to interact successfully with the community worldwide. The School aims to excite and enable students to experience a first class educational and social environment which enlarges their minds, stimulates their talent, and emphasizes the importance of values and the pursuit of knowledge. We also seek to develop real, multi-disciplinary projects in our classes that involve as many of our departments as possible. In this way, we prepare our students to face the actual challenges of their respective fields. Students obtain truly relevant work-related experience by collaborating with colleagues both inside and outside of their specific areas of interest. Then, the results of this collaboration are presented externally for public appreciation and expert evaluation.
