The city was one of the first sanctuaries of freed African slaves in the Americas and is currently populated by an ethnic mix representative of Colombia's own variety.

Cartagena, located on Colombia's northern coast and facing the Caribbean Sea, is the most visited city in the country by tourists. Nearby coral reefs, powdery beaches, impressive mangroves, and waterways complement the historic and urban beauty.

Our school of the Caribbean is located in the city of Cartagena located just 4 blocks from the main entrance to the "Old City" in a colonial house with a Caribbean atmosphere.

Highlights

You have the following course options:
* 3 lessons daily: (15 group lessons per week) - includes 5 additional hours of cultural activities
* 3 lessons daily: (15 private lessons per week)

- We accept all language levels / ages 17+
- Unlimited course length
- A "lesson" usually lasts approx. 50 minutes
- Course runs Monday through Friday (starts 9am)
- Includes cultural lessons daily
- Loan of course materials are included
- Placement test and orientation on first day of course
- Maximum 8 students per group class

After class and weekend activities:
Enjoy social and cultural outings during the week with other students from the school, including visits to museums, natural parks, beaches, concerts, sightseeing tours, hiking, restaurants, etc. These activities are organized on a weekly basis (at least two activities per week). They are ideal to practice the language and attain a better understanding of the culture.
