We are an urban university situated in Trastevere, one of the oldest and most characteristic neighborhoods of Rome. A fifteen minute walk takes you to all major attractions and historical sites.

John Cabot's Housing Office gives students the choice between two housing options: The Gianicolo Residence or the Trastevere Apartments, both within walking distance of campus and with 24/7 security. Students may also choose to live independently. All situations allow you to live as the Romans do, within an authentic Roman neighborhood with its many coffee bars, restaurants, trattorie, gelaterie and open-air markets.

What courses are offered?
JCU offers two exciting summer programs* that include an impressive selection of classes in the areas of our BA programs as well as two unique institutes courses: Creative Writing and Literary and International Communication in Rome. *Programs completed during the Summer Sessions carry the same credits as those offered during the regular academic year.

John Cabot Student Services organizes day trips, interesting lectures given by prominent guests in the University's outdoor courtyards, wine-tasting seminars and gourmet cooking classes are also held on the University's top terrace, which commands spectacular views.

All courses are taught in English and follow the traditional U.S. university specifications on a semester system and are taught by distinguished faculty of international distinction.
