ISA in Paris, France

Location

France: Paris

Description

Paris (population 2.15 million) is draped in history, tradition, culture, glamour, and academia. The Seine River, which bisects the city into its north (Right Bank or "Rive Droite") and south (Left Bank or "Rive Gauche") areas, has long been a source of the city's economic, political, and artistic notoriety. The two banks of the Seine each have distinct personalities- the spacious boulevards and formal buildings of the Right Bank and the cultural and intellectual reputation of the Left Bank- which contribute to the diversity of this magnificent city.

Highlights

Students participating on an ISA Paris program may take beginning, intermediate, and advanced French language and culture classes at the Catholic University of Paris (Catho), the Sorbonne - Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne (CCFS), or the American Business School of Paris (ABSP). All courses, with the exception of French language courses, are taught in English by a diverse staff of international professors and guest lecturers.
The newly renovated ISA office in Paris is located in the Latin Quarter, just across the Seine River from the Notre Dame Cathedral. This vibrant quarter has been the center of student life for centuries and ISA students benefit from its central location when accessing housing, universities, museums and cultural events. The office is a "home base" where students can learn about local happenings, receive tutoring, use the computer lab, or simply visit with the staff. Our on-site staff assists students with ISA housing and French tutoring and is available to support ISA Paris students during their time abroad.
