Volunteers must be 18 years or older and have finished high school when starting the program. To communicate with the host families and people within your placement, volunteers should speak English fluently. Volunteers wishing to work on the human rights program should be 19 years or older and already have some experience in the field they wish to work. This can either be university studies (a degree is not necessary) or relevant working experience.

Program Fees Include:

Volunteers pay a registration fee of USD 279 which covers 24/7 support from IVHQ staff, program marketing costs, information pack, administration costs, travel costs to inspect programs and communication costs with volunteers.

They then pay a program fee, dependent on the duration of their volunteer program, which covers accommodation and meals during volunteer placement period, airport pick up, orientation, program supervision, In-country 24/7 volunteer support and In-country administration costs. Volunteers are responsible for their own flights, visas, travel insurance and vaccinations (where required).
