Have you ever talked with a Polish diplomat? Met a leading national or EU politician? Visited a Military Intelligence Agency? The European Politics program will introduce you to the EU, global politics and social issues such as security, terrorism, migration, human rights, war crimes, environmental protection and social welfare through classroom teaching, guest lectures, and on-site field studies and study tours around Copenhagen, Denmark, and across Europe.
A one week European Study tour is included with your tuition, and will take you to Brussels and the Hague. Denmark is a parliamentary democracy with a dozen parties, proportional representation, a strong role for the state, and a wide range of ideologies represented in parliament. The social welfare state is constantly challenged by globalization, immigration and an aging population, yet the Danes maintain an extraordinarily high quality of life while paying very high taxes.
