Spend your summer study in the exciting city of Florence! The city is one of Italy's centers of art, architecture, and history of the Renaissance. Studying and living in Florence is not just a simple change of environment, in store for your stay are fabulous and fascinating cafes and restaurants with your AIFS meal vouchers. Immerse yourself in Italy's artistic heritage and cultural activities.

AIFS students take courses taught in English in art history, history, literature, music, sociology, and studio art, plus Italian language. Transfer of credits is through the sponsoring institution, Richmond, The American International University in London, a U.S.-accredited university. Richmond's study center is a restored 16th-century palace close to the Ponte Vecchio. It has classrooms, a student lounge and reading room, and computer labs.

AIFS fees include the basics and the extras: tuition, housing, some meals, London visit, excursions and cultural activities, airfare if selected, trips to Venice and Rome, and more.

Highlights

Spend 4 weeks in Florence, where artistic, cultural and historic richness is ever present. With the Pitti Palace, Piazza della Signoria, Accademia and San Marco creating a wonderful backdrop, it is no surprise that walking along the Arno River you come across artists attempting to capture this beautiful city.

During your time abroad you will earn up to 6 credits studying art history, history, sociology, studio art, marketing or Italian language.

Take in the sites in and around Florence on visits to museums, art galleries, churches and theaters. Explore more of Italy on optional excursions to Rome and Venice where you can earn up to one additional credit.

Travel on the Optional AIFS Flight Package and you will begin your trip with a 3-day excursion to London, England en route to campus.

Optional Components:
