Description
Teaching English in another country shows leadership and communication skills that will benefit any resume. By teaching English in Oaxaca, Mexico through Adelante, candidates will experience a unique culture and a career building opportunity. Participants will have the choice to teach English in a public primary school, government office, boys juvenile hall, or to artisans who want help marketing their work. While some Spanish is helpful, Adelante does not require that candidates are fluent in the language. Teachers will have a Mexican supervisors at their work placements as well as an English speaking Adelante advisor living in Oaxaca. Highlights
1. Volunteers work approximately four hours a day
2. Programs begin on the first Monday of each month and range from one to twelve month stays
3. Two weeks of intensive Spanish classes included in program cost
