Academia Uruguay and Academia Buenos Aires are partner schools under the same management and offer you the possibility to continue your courses on the other side of the Rio de la Plata. The course levels and materials are the same and so is the cost. Simply switch from one to the other every Monday.

Academia Uruguay is located in Uruguay's capital, Montevideo, and offers exclusively Spanish courses for foreign students. The academy runs individual and group courses for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced and also organizes courses for Spanish teachers. The school is located in the center of the historic district of Montevideo, on central Plaza Matriz, right next to the main sights and attractions of the city and with excellent public transport to all other parts of town. It occupies the top floor of a completely refurbished historic building, with access to a rooftop terrace with great views over the old part of town.

Academia Buenos Aires has built its reputation on academic quality, professional service and a complete immersion approach. It is widely recognized as one of the leading Spanish institutes and has recently expanded to new state-of-the-art premises in the very heart of Buenos Aires, on Plaza de Mayo. The institute is member of all relevant trade associations and attends individuals, groups and corporate clients from around the world, during the entire year.

Complete immersion is the third basic principle the academia embraces. The founders of the academia believe that Spanish classes alone are not as productive as Spanish classes given in a context of permanent cultural immersion. There are four facets to this principle:

1. Classroom introduction to Hispanic, Latin American and national culture through printed documents, classroom interaction, sound and video documents.

2. Extracurricular programs which are not compulsory for the students, but recommended, and free of charge.

3. The possibility to live with a host family or in a shared apartment with other students (of which at least one is a local). The host family approach has worked extremely well and is an excellent opportunity for the students to apply the learned material in a real life setting.

4. The possibility to add free volunteer work to your stay. Both schools offer you the possibility to combine Spanish courses with free volunteer work. You can work in different organizations and projects in Buenos Aires, discovering very particular problems and benefiting people in many sectors. Share your time, ideas and skills with Argentineans and Uruguayans and discover their culture in a unique way! The schools will help you find an appropriate activity according to the needs of the organization, your area of interest, your availability and your skills. You can volunteer in parallel to your Spanish classes or afterwards.
