Academia Buenos Aires has built its reputation on academic quality, professional service and a complete immersion approach. Academia Uruguay and Academia Buenos Aires are partner schools under the same management and offer you the possibility to continue your courses on the other side of the Rio de la Plata. The course levels and materials are the same and so is the cost. Simply switch from one to the other every monday.

Intensive group courses at the academy are taught by experienced and highly motivated teachers, all of whom have university degrees in relevant disciplines (linguistics, literature, education). Many of the teaching staff also give classes or do research at local universities. The staff has designed a unique approach to teaching and uses the institute's own material, with audio and video support.

The Academia offers professional service from the first contact by mail or phone up to day students leave the institute at the end of their stay. The staff is permanently available for the students' needs, day or night, mails are replied the same day, students are accompanied from the airport to their homestays or apartments, they are guided in their discovery of Buenos Aires, if they so desire, etc.

Complete immersion at the Academia means that learning is not limited only to the physical location of the institute nor only to the language aspect. Students at the academy are immersed in the argentine culture, all day long. Free extracurricular activities are designed to allow students to discover the rich cultural heritage of Argentina. Family stays and shared apartments with Argentineans should allow the students to keep practising their Spanish outside of classes and to get a real insight into life in Argentina.

The location of the Academia is on Plaza de Mayo, the central square in Buenos Aires, where four of the five subway lines in Buenos Aires end. The institute occupies the top floor of a historic building which has been completely renovated and customized. A roof-top terrace allows great views over downtown Buenos Aires.

Highlights

The intensive group courses have a maximum of 5 students per class and start every Monday on all levels, from beginner to advanced. Classes are generally in the mornings from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and can be complemented by one-on-one classes in the afternoons.

The intensive course is taught on 8 levels (I-VIII), from beginner to advanced. Each level takes about 2 weeks to complete, but students can take 1,3 or 5 weeks of classes without any problem (they enter or leave at half levels).
