Looking for a job teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language)? Want a location with a difference? The Czech Republic is fast becoming one of the most sought after locations for teachers from all over the world to study and teach English. With a plethora of language schools and demand for teachers at an all-time high, there's never been a better time to work in one of Central Europe's most exciting countries. The enchanting capital of Prague is widely regarded as one of Europe's most beautiful cities and is a magnet for non-EU teachers, particularly Americans. Home to several universities and colleges and packed with incredible architecture and cultural treasures, from Prague Castle to the historic Old Town, Prague is a truly inspiring place to work and study. Cactus in Prague provides initial training in teaching English to speakers of other languages and for those who have no formal or practical teaching qualification. There is a wide range of employers from large private schools who will help with visa applications and accommodation. You can also teach in a state school, although these jobs are a little harder to come by. They require a BA in English or Applied Linguistics and applications need to be received before the end of April.
