I have no bad words to say about TravelGrad! They are the most helpful and caring agents you could ask for. They made my experience with the China teaching Experience so easy and stress-free! It’s my second year with TravelGrad and I would always recommend them for anyone wanting to teach abroad. You feel very looked after, which is the best thing you could ask for, in the very daunting process of moving countries.

At first, I was hesistant about the concept of teaching abroad, but after talking to the staff at TravelGrad and going through my options, I knew I had to take the opportunity. They were extremely helpful throughout the whole process, and were able to answer any questions I had or aid with any issues I had.

I'm a recent graduate currently teaching English in China (Zhejiang, Ningbo). I found out about the opportunity to teach abroad through a job posting on a graduate jobs website and had a conversation on the phone with Andrew of TravelGrad just two days after I had applied. During the preparation process, TravelGrad offered comprehensive guidance through every step. Whether it was notifying me of certain deadlines, simplifying the visa application process, offering general advice etc. TravelGrad was always there to help. Andrew of TravelGrad was in touch with me every single week during the process and was available to speak to me every single day of the week. TravelGrad also created a group where applicants were able to talk to each other before they landed in China. Overall, I'd describe my experience with TravelGrad as overwhelmingly positive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to teach abroad.

What I liked the most was how practical the online course was. Every assignment built on the previous topic and prepared me to write full lesson plans that would come in very handy for the Practicum and the job. My first week on the job was made so much easier by this course, and my planning skills really showed up as I became more creative along the way. The tutor guided me along the way, providing clear feedback.

This was a great course to start me off as a teacher of English as a foreign language. The course materials covered everything I would need to know and more. Everything was laid out very professionally and straight forward. The course is reasonably priced and offers many extras such as assistance with finding employment, tutor support and a lot of video content to supplement the lessons. A reasonable time frame is allotted to complete the course which allows people to work through it at their own pace. I highly recommend International TEFL and TESOL for anyone wishing to complete a TEFL.

I really enjoyed taking this tefl course and the 20 hours teaching practice gave me confidence and some much needed experience. ITT's partnered school gave me a lot of training before teaching actual students. I was very nervous at first but after the 2nd lesson I felt confident the my Chinese student warmed to me quickly. I finished my 20 hours practice and was able to carry on working for the company teaching 5 lessons a week at $20 an hour. I am looking forward to teaching Korean students in Seoul in my next chapter. Thank you ITT for a great experience.

ITT was a very good course and I learn so much. I'm a non-native speaker and wanted to work in China. ITT support is high quality and they help you with legalizing my certificate. I recommend this company for teaching english in China.

The course was really good and I learned a lot from it. I recommend taking a course from ITT if you want to work in China because they help you with finding a job here. They also helped me with legalizing my TEFL certificate to work legally which is a requirement for work zvisa. Awesome course and awesome service, thank you itt.

The ITT course was a great introductory into the world of TEFL. They cover a handful of different topics that relate to the job/move to a new country/culture differences etc. I thoroughly enjoyed how everything was easily laid out, and how the course itself flowed! The help centre was very quick when it came to inquires regarding the course, and made sure to reach out to you about their other services (job assistance). The 20 hours teaching practice definitely helped and gave me confidence from a new teachers perspective. I believe my own knowledge paired with ITT will be a fantastic bases to start my teaching abroad journey!

Having been to China several times for work allowed me to take in the culture and learn a lot about the people. I meet someone there and we have since been married. I have a Chinese step-son who is now enrolled in college in USA. I have traveled to many countries for work (Iceland, Mexico, Brazil...) but something about Asia stuck with me. I have a great extended family there, but most do not speak English. I attended some ESL classes that my soon-to-be wife was taking and this exposure is what lead me to want to become a ESL/TEFL teacher. Her classes were taught by a (somewhat) bilingual Chinese woman. The teacher was doing a good job, but missed several key vocabulary and context items. Even today, when I talk with my wife I can hear the mis-learned language come through. I help her daily with her vocabulary, grammar and general dialog. My step-son has a good command of English - no worries there, just his accent which is slowly diminishing. Teaching in China where my extended family is would be the ideal situation for me, but things are constantly changing these days between USA and China. I can only hope that they "keep the dialog going" so teaching in China remains a possibility. Accept and embrace the differences. I have found that people are similar no matter where I have been. Language and communication can bridge the gaps.

I can tell you this class and school it’s worth every dollar. I’m leaving this review because I truly think the program made me a better teacher and also created a confidence that wasn’t previously there. My professor was awesome as well. I did do the online class because I am still in university right now but I was able to handle during summer session. Highly recommend.

Before enrolling in this class, I researched a lot of different ways to get a TEFL Certificate. Even though this is certainly one of the pricier options on the market, after going through the course, I have decided it was completely worth the price. I took a gamble signing up for this course, as I don't have a lot of money, but I don't regret it at all. If anything, I just wish I was more proactive as a person and had taken advantage of some of the extra materials that the course supplies. The modules included in this course are thorough, informative, and taught by teachers with plenty of real life experience. I did not find the grammar module particularly useful, but that's probably because I've been a grammar nerd for as long as I can remember. The video quality of the video components of the course could definitely be improved, but the content itself is gold. I definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to get their TEFL Certificate and teach abroad. Although I haven't used ITA's job guidance system yet, I am hoping it will give me a boost as I make my way into the English teaching industry.

Since I haven't gone abroad just yet to start teaching, I don't have a lot of perspective quite yet, but I can say without a doubt that the experience I just had taking this class was really good. I feel fully prepared to begin my career and it's great to know that as an ITA alum there's an entire support network and community that will be there for me wherever I go, offering support, resources, and even resume building and job search guidance. Even though I went to my University for years to get my Bachelors degree, as far as the actual Latin translation goes, ITA is my alma mater.

ITA is rated so highly for a reason! They give extremely thorough preparation for real life teaching experience including videos, reading, resources and practical experience. You get so much out of the class, and even more from the Facebook groups and job search advisors. Well worth the money and the time. The course is just the right amount of challenging, while being basic enough that anyone can take it. I was blown away by my entire experience and I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking to get TEFL certified!

From beginning to end, I've found my experience with ITA to be very successful and positive. Being matched with an advisor who went out of her way to answer all my questions before I even had signed up for the course was so very helpful! It gave me confidence that I would be fully supported throughout and after as well. Sure enough, I found there was no lack of support and resources provided during the course. My teacher was friendly, created a comfortable learning environment, and was quick to answer any questions. I appreciated the many additional links, examples, and models she gave each week to ensure we were able to complete tasks successfully and have as many learning opportunities as we wanted. Having to complete the Practicum hours provides invaluable experience and opportunity to put into practice what is being learnt. It was one of the deciding factors for me in choosing ITA, as I felt it was a mark of a professional school creating competent and prepared teachers. Having now completed my course, and working on completion of my Practicum, I believe I was correct. The International TEFL Academy has been nothing but a professional and positive experience.

I enrolled for the online TEFL course that started on May 9th, 2019 through the International TEFL Academy. The staff at ITA were incredibly helpful throughout my entire TEFL experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed the class. I will start my experience as an Auxiliar de Conversación in Ayora, Spain on October 1st of this year and although having a TEFL isn't required, it helps tremendously. I will go into the program already having a teaching certification in preparation for post-Auxiliar life and hope to stay in Spain permanently as an English Teacher. I remember wanting to live in Europe for as long as I can remember, and ITA has really helped me to achieve my goals. I can only hope that they will continue to support me and my career goals for many years to come.

If you are serious about teaching English abroad, this course is the one for you! The addition of the practicum is a vital experience needed and the thematic unit definitely allows you too practice what you learned throughout the course. This TEFL course with ITA is an investment in your future that you will not regret!

I thought that this was a great and helpful experience that will hopefully provide me with good opportunities in Europe in the future. I would like to take advantage of the Job Search as soon as I am able to travel.

TEFL Academy provides an amazing online course experience. I feel like in a matter of 10 weeks I learned so much of what it is like to teach in an ESL classroom. There was no stone left unturned while working through the content of the course. The instructor I had was great because he made sure that you could always ask questions. He also provided very detailed instructions on what he was looking for to grade assignments, as well as the rubrics for scoring were extremely detailed. Coming from a company that built its own LMS courses, I have to say that TEFL Academy has built one that is absolutely amazing! The combination of text, as well as excellent videos, made it easy to complete the course chapters. I am excited to take some additional courses that TEFL Academy has to offer.
