As a qualified and experienced teacher and VET trainer in other areas, I've always wanted to achieve the CELTA qualification. Completing the Graduate Diploma in TESOL provided me with a solid theoretical background but the CELTA has really prepared me in a practical way for teaching English as an additional language. The training provided by MTI met and exceeded my expectations. F2F, blended and fully online options provide ultimate flexibility. Expectations of trainees are rigorous and exacting, but the program is designed such that the action learning approach maximizes trainee's potential for professional growth. An experienced tutor provides expert and engaging input sessions while small group tutors provide guidance, support and feedback across a total of 8 teaching practice sessions. If you want to make a smart investment in yourself, I can highly recommend this qualification and MTI as an authorized center.

I just completed the part-time online CELTA course with MTI. First, I loved the online option and found it to be just as rigorous as promised. In fact, I would recommend the online option to future students not just for the flexibility it provides, but also because it gave us the additional benefit of picking up online teaching skills and techniques, sure to be useful in our future teaching. Second, my tutors Barbara, Jo, and Marcela were all wonderful: they were precise in their delivery and exacting in their assessments and feedback. At the same time, they cared deeply about our learning progress and our success, offering constant encouragement even when the assignments and teaching practice felt a bit overwhelming. Their empathetic and thoughtful demeanor went a long way in motivating me to exert the effort needed to complete the coursework and try to meet their expectations. Third, CELTA is not an easy journey, but the MTI provided us with all the support necessary (references, example assignments, observation videos, very helpful handouts and links) for us to get to the finish line. The CELTA course was an incredible experience. What stood out most was how interactive everything was - you're constantly engaged, learning by doing rather than just listening. I highly recommend MTI for anyone considering completing a CELTA course. MTI was always supportive and professional throughout the entire process, from pre-course preparation to after the course. Jo’s input sessions were particularly valuable because. The sessions were well-structured, clear, and highly relevant to real teaching contexts. I appreciated how the sessions modelled effective teaching strategies rather than simply explaining them. I used SO MANy in my TP. Carlos and Barbara were incredibly dedicated throughout the course. Their feedback was detailed, constructive, and always focused on helping trainees improve in achievable ways. Even during the most intensive parts of the course, they remained approachable, always replied quickly and were highly encouraging, and genuinely invested in everyone’s progress. It was clear that a huge amount of time and care went into both lesson feedback and individual support. MTI also provided a strong range of resources, examples, and guidance, which made lesson planning and reflection far more manageable during such an intensive course. The materials are useful beyond the CELTA itself and will continue to support my teaching practice now. What I appreciated most overall was that the course maintained high standards while still creating a supportive learning environment. The trainers pushed us to develop professionally but also recognised the pressures of the course and provided appropriate guidance throughout. I left the course feeling not only more confident, but with a much clearer understanding of teaching practice, lesson staging, classroom management, and reflective teaching.

I was very fortunate to choose to complete a CELTA course at MTI! It was a transformative experience that helped me to learn English teaching to different levels of students. The trainers, Maria, Barbara and Jo were very friendly, helpful and encouraging. Through their valuable and pragmatic feedback, I was able to improve my teaching lesson by lesson. In the course, I learnt tons of knowledge about teaching techniques, lesson planning, classroom management, language grading and so on without getting overwhelmed. I was also very fortunate to have my 3 peers Christina, Vanessa and Beth supporting and encouraging each other through out the course. We learnt from each other and provided each other with meaningful feedback. It was truly a wonderful experience and the course is indeed worth its value.

The teaching practicum with Michelle Benson was great. The material was succinct and loaded with various ways to teach English as someone who is not new to teaching, but new to teaching a language. Michelle made the experience fun as well as informative. I also appreciate her encouraging words since I was actually quite nervous at the start.

Premier TEFL offers a solid 300-hr course and the lessons are very educational—I went from knowing hardly anything about teaching language to feeling like I could actually organize English lessons someday. And I did indeed land a job while I was still working on my TEFL certificate to teach Spanish, because some of the principles of teaching English generalize to teaching other languages. One thing that really makes this TEFL program stand out is the amount of support you get. Anytime you have questions or doubts, you can e-mail the staff and they are very responsive. The tutors, Anya and Laura, are available once a week for a live Zoom session, but you can e-mail them anytime and they will answer all your questions, and if they don't have an answer, they will direct you to another staff member who does. The support staff, like Olivia and Lisa, are also very helpful for your course needs and even check in to see how you're doing. Overall, I was very pleased with the value of this course and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning how to teach English.

Great experience completing the 10-hour Virtual TEFL course. The tutor, Michelle Benson, absolutely made the course. She has such positive energy, is incredibly encouraging, and explains everything very clearly. The lessons are well structured and especially helpful for people who have never taught before. One thing worth noting is that the "10-hour" course actually consists of 7 hours of live teaching (2 × 3.5-hour sessions). The remaining 3 hours are allocated to preparing and completing the homework. My advice would be to leave at least a day's gap between the sessions if possible. For people who work full-time, it can be quite difficult to find enough time to prepare properly for the following day's lesson.

It was a fantastic experience. Michelle Benson made teaching methodologies become real life practical experience, making the classroom a relaxed and fun filled experience for both teachers and learners. I am glad I took the chance.

I had a lovely experience with my tutor Michelle Benson! The structure of the course is clear; it's great for anyone who wants a more hands-on TEFL experience. I got to apply some of the methods I've been learning in the 180-hour TEFL course in a real classroom setting. Ms. Benson was an absolute delight: she was very joyful, encouraging, and knowledgeable. I especially liked the tense identification method she taught us. I would advise all TEFL learners to take this course so as to get an opportunity to apply the theories learned in the 120/180/300-hour course!

The 10-hour practical course was awesome! Not a single minute of the entire course was boring. Michelle was patient and meticulous, explaining in detail what it takes to plan and deliver an engaging and interactive lesson. Her feedback was great. She praised every strength and highlighted areas for improvement. Now I am glad I can confidently teach English.

I’ve just completed the 10 hour virtual TEFL course and it was genuinely interactive from start to finish, plus really enjoyable. Michelle created such an easy, relaxed atmosphere and guided us as we worked in pairs to put together our own lesson plan. It was also lovely meeting so many great people over Zoom, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone considering a TEFL career. Michelle is a fantastic teacher and you will really have a great time on this course.

I did the 10 hour virtual TEFL course with Michelle Benson. It ran over two days and was really intense and interactive, and I honestly loved it. At first I was unsure how it would work through Skype, but it ended up going way beyond what I expected. I came away with new friends, a better understanding of the English language than I thought I had, plus loads of practical tips and pointers I can bring into my own classroom.
