One priceless experience
November 20, 2020by: Beata Belz - United StatesProgram: Teach English in Spain | Guaranteed Spot in Madrid or Murcia
I consider myself lucky to be selected and participating in this program. I came with only an open mind, unsure what to expect, however, my experiences so far have been nothing but positive. From the beautiful country that Spain is, to its warm and friendly people, school staff and students, one cannot go wrong when considering to sign up for this program. I would do it in a heartbeat all over again, and that is despite the pandemic situation and restrictions that currently affect all of us! This is my second year in Spain and in both of my schools, the staff was always willing to help in or outside the school. This program allows the work life balance with plenty of personal free time. ConversaSpain has got your back in case there are any issues. They always answer promptly and accurately. The only mini glitch is that it takes time to process the first pay. Once that hurdle is over, then it is a smooth ride all the way until the end. Nevertheless, in comparison to all the benefits, personal and professional, one can gain in this program, this is really a minuscule one. Overall I highly recommend ConversaSpain program to anyone who is ready to experience living and working abroad teaching English!
Dear Beata, Thank you very much for your review. We really appreciate it. Besides, we are glad that you are having a rewarding experience with our program. All of our hopes are directed towards your having a wonderful experience for one more year. Thank you truly for your positive attitude. Conversaspain does our best to make this experience memorable and special!
It was a good experience

The experience was an overall good experience. It was while I was in university in South Africa. I had fun assisting the teacher and helping out with the children. It took place in a school called Little Wonderland. I was an assistant teacher to the teacher in charge of the 4-5 year olds. I helped them with their classwork and enjoyed teaching them a few things.

When I saw the advertisement for ConversaSpain, I hadn't thought seriously about teaching abroad before. I'm very happy that I did apply. The application process ran smoothly and in the months building up to placement they gave all the information and instructions I would need to settle here. The team here have always been pleasant to communicate with and quick to respond to any emails and the schools I was assigned were a good fit. Day-to-day the job has been great. I would recommend teaching through this company to anyone.

It was a great opportunity to come over to Spain and be able to work in a great school. I have learnt a great deal in my time in this program. Living in Madrid is a pleasure and working with the kids at my school is fantastic. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to get into teaching, learn Spanish, live in Spain, travel around Europe etc.
Great support system

ConversaSpain is the perfect program to go with if you are a bit nervous about moving abroad. They offer pre-program immersion experiences that can help you get acquainted with the city you are moving to, as well as give you the opportunity to meet other Language Assistants. Throughout the first few weeks of the program, they were extremely helpful with making sure my scheduling issues were sorted. There were email updates with new information as we needed it, a group chat to talk with other Language Assistants about concerns or questions, and the facebook group was a place to share teaching ideas or travel opportunities. It felt great knowing that there was always someone to reach out to if anything ever went wrong, but nothing ever did. The program was easy going and stressful free. Cannot recommend ConversaSpain enough. An amazing growth opportunity for anyone who is curious about living abroad.
Awesome opportunity

ConversaSpain was exactly the program I was looking for. I was so fortunate this program accepted applicants to start in January rather than October (when I actually applied and other programs started). At the time I was looking the deadline had passed to begin in October but I didn't want to have to wait a whole year to begin as an English Assistant. I am so thankful I came across ConversaSpain because I didn't miss out on such a great experience!
Amazing learning experience

My time as a language assistant through ConversaSpain was full of wonderful learning opportunities and the chance to really feel comfortable in a classroom setting. I taught classes with 12-18 children 4 days a week. I felt comfortable to do so on my own but I always had the support of a Spanish teacher in the classroom with me if I needed it. Watching the children's vocabulary grow is so gratifying but they aren't the only ones who benefit from your classes. Being in a learning environment allows you to flourish in ways you never really thought of. I will be using the skills I have learned as a Language Assistant in whichever field I go into.
I am having the time of my life!
April 12, 2019by: Fahd Lajabu - MalawiProgram: Teach English in Spain | Guaranteed Spot in Madrid or Murcia
I am enjoying every minute of my time in Spain. Firstly, the work is effortless - well I have to prepare lessons every now and then but I am basically being "paid to talk". It doesn't get easier than that. I have also discovered that I have a passion for teaching. Obviously the idea of having to be in front of children in a foreign country was scary at first, also since I don't have a teaching degree. With time, all the nerves disappeared and working with children has been incredible. My timetable is the best because I work for four days a week meaning that I have a three-day weekend every single week. That has given me more time to travel. When I'm not travelling, I dedicate the day-off to learning Spanish. It is definitely true what they say that, "The moment you do something that you love, you will never work a day in your life." I am experiencing that right now...!!
