USAC Spain: San Sebastián - Spanish Language & Psychology

The San Sebastian program opens an academic window on the Spanish and Basque people, introducing you to the rich diversity of Spain and offering a truly multicultural experience. San Sebastian has the highest level of bilingualism of any of the area's cities: all of its inhabitants speak Spanish, and one-third speak Basque. This program is ideal for students interested in Spanish or Basque Studies. Our intensive language approach allows you to complete up to two years of university language coursework in only one semester. The language courses can be complemented by our electives in related areas such as history, literature, culture, and art. Many of these elective courses are shared by local Spanish students, offering you a unique opportunity for cultural integration. *Due to the global health status worldwide, USAC is making programmatic changes to summer, fall, and yearlong programs, and some options might not be available. These changes are posted on individual program pages on the USAC website.*

Most memorable year of college

Donostia is the most charming city, it has the best people, the oldest language in Europe, it’s the cleanest, the public transportation is like no other, I was able to play on a local soccer team and make local friends, my apartment was on the top floor and had a balcony overlooking the ocean. Everyone that chose to study in Donostia also had very similar aspirations, and they were in the same sort of place in their life as me, so it was very easy to make friends with everyone. It was also so immersive and forced me to speak in Spanish everywhere I went, which was exactly what I wanted!
