A Guide to Studying Animation & Illustration Abroad

Prepare to Study Abroad

Understand the benefits

Exploring new environments and educational systems through international study in illustration and animation offers a ton of advantages, including:

  • New techniques and perspectives. You’ll get to learn innovative methods and see things from fresh angles, which can boost your artistic approach big time.
  • Cultural immersion. Living in a new place allows you to experience different cultures, which can inspire your work and expand your creative horizons.
  • Career opportunities. Studying in top artistic cities can lead to internships, collaborations, and job opportunities that might not be available elsewhere.

Things to Know

Getting a handle on the logistics and extra resources can make your study abroad experience smoother and more enjoyable. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Visa and passport - Make sure you’ve got your travel documents sorted out well ahead of time. You don’t want any last-minute hassles, so check out passports and visas for all the details.
  • Accommodation - It’s a good idea to find and arrange your place to stay before you arrive. Take a look at accommodations abroad to find the best options for you.
  • Insurance - Don’t forget to get travel insurance that covers health, travel, and your belongings. It’s a smart move to keep you covered while you’re away.
