Long-term stay
September 12, 2026Nicolas Gehrig - SwitzerlandProvider: LTL Language School
I stayed a total of three months at LTL Beijing, with a mix of group classes and individual 1-on-1 lessons. The experience as a whole has been very positive, from the registration process (where my assigned student advisor was great) to the lessons themselves, which managed to raise my initially very rusty Mandarin level enough to now be able to get through daily life quite comfortable (including getting a haircut!). A particularly big thank you therefore to my two teachers – Lilian老师 and Sara 老师 – for their patience and engagement! The lessons with them were very interactive, focused, and overall an enjoyable and educative experience – 感谢你们!
My tutor was invaluable, Angie was amazing.

The course is logical and with hard work provides an excellent foundation for success. The future is bright as a TEFL graduate. This is an exceptional program. I highly recommend anyone wanting to pursue a career teaching abroad to enroll in this excellent program. Good luck everyone. Scott
Global Internship Program - Summer 2026
September 12, 2026Briana Reyes - United StatesProvider: Intern Colombia
I spent 2 months living in Bogota, Colombia, interning with a non-profit organization that was organized through Intern Colombia. This program did not only place me in an internship but they also took us on various day trips, a weekend trip to La Guajira, tours, night excursions, and so much more. The directors of the program are amazing and super funny. I loved my time in Colombia and am so grateful to Intern Colombia for providing me with the opportunity to have had this experiences. I definitely recommend!
Experience of a lifetime.

This study abroad program was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I have wanted to do a program like this for many years, so it was amazing to actually do it. I loved meeting all of the new people as well as being immersed in a new culture and getting to see a new part of the world.
Examples of what is possible for the greater good!

My experience on the program was life changing, heart widening, and eye opening. I loved learning about how different communities have created long lasting change for social justice and better collective futures. The Indigenous, particularly Maya, focus, teachings, and stories was a highlight. This program challenged what I thought I was possible in terms of life paths and ways Maya activism manifests. My experience on this program will stay with me and I wish to be able to relive the experiences I had. The Indigenous teachings, stories, and lessons softened me and has shaped my new wide worldview.
WEHAF and Mt. Meru Hospital Volunteer Service
September 12, 2026Ray Jones - United StatesProvider: Medi Trip
I planned a trip to Arusha, Tanzania through Medi Trip primarily for my son, who is a Pre Med student at university. Medi Trip and Pearl, in particular, did a wonderful job making the arrangements and sending excellent and relevant information relating to the volunteer assignments. My volunteer assignment was with WEHAF--Women's Encouragement HIV-AIDS Foundation. The accommodations were great. The staff at the hostel was friendly and very helpful--everything was kept very clean and orderly. Careen with Medi Trip was available and extremely helpful in showing us how to travel to our assignments from the hostel and how to get around Arusha. When I was seeking recommendations for a safari, Pearl placed me in contact with a local safari operator, and we enjoyed an amazing three day/two night safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. I also sought recommendations for a hiking trip to Mount Kilimanjaro with a locally-owned guiding service. Pearl placed me in contact with Nyange Adventures, and they took very good care of my son and I as we climbed Mount Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route. Praise Nyange is an amazing guide and environmentalist. His farm and tree planting operations were outstanding, and his team of guides and porters second to none. My son's volunteer assignment went extremely well. He was able to work with the anesthesiologists and anesthesia techs at the hospital in the general and OBGYN operating rooms. He witnessed and assisted in numerous operations and procedures over the course of the two weeks we volunteered in Arusha. He logged over 60 volunteer hours in just 8 work days! My experience with WEHAF was equally rewarding. I assisted Thedy Lengoje, and her team at WEHAF, with providing sorely needed assistance to widows (the majority of whom are HIV positive) from the community with food supplies, mattresses, beds, gas stoves, and other items needed to alleviate their difficult circumstances. I also helped complete the parking lot and perimeter wall painting at the "Mama Center", where women in the program go to learn how to sew and obtain other skills to be able to start their own small businesses. I did not think I would be doing manual labor during my assignment, but I saw a need and was given the freedom to complete those projects while I was in Arusha. The Medi Trip staff were professional and responsive to all my inquires leading up to our assignments. Travel and housing accommodations were both timely and comfortable. I cannot recommend Medi Trip enough. I am so pleased with the time my son and I spent in Tanzania and we will remember all the people with whom we came in contact (Pearl, Careen, Kombo, etc.) fondly and forever. Jambo!

maybe you should add a module about punctuation, as it is important and there is not such a module on the 120 hours teaching english, tefl, tesol . i am french , for eg, and we have punctuation as well, but it be confusing sometimes, for students to understand, as we don't have the same kind of rythm, and musicality in the way , we write, and pronunce in english , that, could help students of other native languages too. thank you ! the course was really gret and enriching, and quiet high level , nd well, created .

Program: Teaching Internship (with TEFL Certificate) in Asia & Europe
I’m really glad I joined Gotoco’s Thailand programme. It was a great opportunity to travel, meet some lovely people and experience teaching English. I especially enjoyed spending time with the students and experiencing the local culture. The financial support with flights, accommodation, meals and transport made a big difference too. Overall, a very memorable experience that I would recommend.

Spring in Córdoba

Program: Middlebury School in Spain
I very much enjoyed my time in Córdoba, the program was smaller than other programs in Spain and it felt like we got fairly close pretty quickly. The town was a maneagable size while still having several place to visit. Kim Griffin is one of the kindest and most supportive people to run an abroad program, she was there at every step of the way making sure that we felt supported academically, emotionally, and in general. She drove me to the hospital when I had a minor health concern, she showed us many parts of Córdoba that she had a deep knowledge of, and she hosted us at her house for an end of semester pool party.
Finding My Future in Neurosurgery

Program: Medical Shadowing in Greece
Hi, my name is Michael and I am a Canadian student coming from the University of British Columbia. I chose to do this internship because my goal is to become a doctor. When I first came I wanted to be a cardiologist, but after spending some time here I realized I am more interested in Neurosurgery. Athens is a beautiful place and I have had a lot of travelling and experiences and I got to do and see so many things. The food here is like none other. I got to see a lot of Greek islands and it has been absolutely beautiful. I would recommend this program to anyone. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for sure. The people from Cerca were awesome; they would take care of everything including the housing and transport. They were very easy to work with and made me feel safe and comfortable the whole time. I will be forever grateful.
