Young Women’s IDEA (International Development and Empowerment Association) is an organization based in Punjab, India established in 1994. We serve as a platform to empower, educate, and recognize women. Our work focuses on strengthening their capacity and developing their self-confidence to build better circumstances for themselves, other women, and the entire society. We also foster their economic, social, political, and spiritual participation at community and personal levels.
Young Women’s IDEA facilitates programs within the areas of rights, advocacy, and education, helping girls and young women in India hone their ability to demand and lead social change. We provide them resources and knowledge, giving them an active voice and personal power. Our projects and initiatives are assisted by international participants who join us through a volunteering or internship program. We welcome anyone who wish to put their theoretical knowledge into practice or those who simply want to make a difference in the lives of others.
